Would you rather live without a TV or without a radio?

I would much rather live without a radio. You can get music lots of ways other than the radio, including MTV and VH-1. Definitely without a radio. TV is very good entertainment and often educational. If your PlayStation or Xbox is hooked to your TV monitor, you would lose those as well. You can listen to music on your computer, TV, iPod and such. (I personally don't listen to the radio much anyway.)

How much doe it cost to put a commercial on the radio?

It depends. :-D

There are many factors involved in pricing radio air time...which radio station is the right one to use based on audience profile and size, what time of day do you want the spot to air, and how often will you air it are the three major considerations.

Radio is a tool best used by multiple-location businesses or for branding of a product, service or show. A small Mom & Pop operation isn't usually served well by radio, as the cost is higher than the return. If radio is chosen as an appropriate advertising medium, frequency is key...airing the same commercial many times throughout the day and week will get the message across. One-time buys are not effective and should be avoided...if a business chooses to use radio, then it needs to be for at least 6 weeks in order to make any sort of impact at all. And you shouldn't just go buy air time on your favorite radio station...it's important to break out the demographics, including age and spending habits, of the radio station audiences in order to see which audience most closely matches your targeted customers, and then buy air time on that station.

As with buying a used car, radio air time is highly negotiable. If you're in a small market with limited radio outlets, you may have less room to negotiate than if you're in a medium to large or major market, with many competing radio outlets. You could have a wide swing between the lowest-priced spots and the highest. If it's in the budget, use an agency to help place the buy...they typically charge 15% of what your ad budget is, but their assistance is priceless. If it's not in the budget, then interview salespeople from each station in your market and see what they have to offer you.

Good luck!

Can old radio receive FM stations?

The first FM radio station started broadcasting in the USA in 1937 although the frequencies we use today were not used until after the World War II. The popularity of FM broadcasting only became widespread in the 1970s, so many radios dating from before this period will probably not have the FM band. The only way to be sure is to check the dial or band switch.

When was the first radio made?

Who have been University of Florida football radio announcers?

The longtime "voice of Tigers football" (in his 29th season) is announcer Jim Hawthorne, a 1967 graduate of Northwestern State and a 38-year radio veteran. Hawthorne also does radio broadcasts of LSU baseball in his position as LSU's Director of Broadcasting.

As of 2011, he was joined in the booth by color analyst Doug Moreau, a former star player and district attorney for East Baton Rouge Parish. The sideline and injury reports are provided by Gordy Rush, a receiver and kicker for LSU in the 1960s, in place of Jordy Hultberg, the sideline coordinator for Cox Sports.

*Hawthorne should not be confused with Southern California's radio personality and KOA Radio general manager Jim Hawthorne (1918-2007)

Do radio waves have a high frequency?

Because the X-ray has a shorter wavelength (kuch shorter!) the energy is much greater in an X-ray. Therefore with a bigger energy, E = hv would calculate a higher frequency for x rays. As the eregy of a wave increases, so goes the frequency. Actually, it probably should be stated the other way, but I still have answered your question

What causes the radio and all inside lights to shut off for a split second and the RPM and mph hand to go down when pushing on the brakes in a 1997 Pontiac Firebird?

Suggustion

Hey bud, With all different circuits being effected as they are , you have a earthing fault. Check your earth between body and - batt and to engine also.

Try looking into the Transmission Range Sensor. I had the problem of my radio cutting out when I went into reverse. Then, it also went out when I braked and sometimes when I turned corners. Then it went out all together. At about the time this happened, my fasten seat belt light started flickering. The real concerning part for me was that my power steering has become unreliable too. Other things that have gone wrong all at this same time are my window wipers and my power windows. I've been looking for help on this site and found these two questions (adresses pasted below) and think it might be the same thing, although I haven't had the chance to try this and see if it fixes it.

Why are the radio and televison vauled sources of information?

Just like TV and print media, radio can be a reliable source of information if you use it
properly. That means getting the information from several different reporters, editions,
programs, publications, networks, etc., and using the different reports as material to
think with. If you get all of your information from one newscast, or one newspaper,
or one radio station, then you are not reliably informed. It's never acceptable to believe
that "I heard it on the radio ..." or "I read it in the paper ..." so it must be true.

And then there's the Internet. Among all of your possible sources of information, the
Internet is the one that is least reliable if it's the only one you consult.

Sorry. I wish I could make it easier for you.

How long does it take for a radio wave to go from the earth up to such a satellite and back down to earth?

That depends how high the atmospheric reflecting layers are, how many times the signal

has to bounce between those ionized layers and the ground, and how long the actual path

is by the time it goes through enough up and down zigs and zags.

Just for grins, let's assume the total distance it has to travel in order to go half-way around

the world in an up and down zig-zag is actually equal to the distance all the way around

the world.

It takes a radio wave about 0.134 of a second to cover that distance.

What year was your radio flyer 80 red wagon made?

How do you replace the radio in a 1992 Buick Roadmaster wagon?

To remove the panel across the dash that covers the radio, the air deflectors must also be turned to one side and gently pushed down on with a flat tip at the top and pulled out. Get the flat tip right next to the pin to depress the tab. There are four additional screws behind them and failing to remove them will break the deflector holders loose from the panel and create a nice rattle! Voice of experience speaking.

First pry off the wood trim panels that run the length of the dash (there are two pieces, one each side of the steering column). After you have exposed the dash below the wood paneling, you'll see 4 or 5 hex-head screws holding the entire dash paneling that surrounds the cluster, steering column, air bag, and each vent (it's one whole piece). Before attempting to remove, lower your steering wheel as fair as possible in order to slide the panel over the cuff around the steering column, as well as the gear shift (put it all the way down into 1st), which requires you have your key handy to put the ignition into ACC. This will give you more room to get the panel off. Once this is done, there are 3 more hex-head screws holding the radio in place. Remove. Remember to get the proper mounting bracket for your new stereo. *** Also, be mindful of the depth of the new radio. You'll see a metal brace of some sort that cannot be moved at the rear of the radio compartment. In order to add any new lines, it's best to drill out some of the fiberglass on the bottom of the compartment to run a remote line and/or RCA cables.

What is the wavelength of a radio photon from an AM radio station that broadcasts at 760 kilohertz?

How do radio buttons work?

A radio button is a button commonly used on online forms. They are the buttons that are in a group that you can only press one of. It's sort of like a test question, where you can only have one answer. Radio buttons are typically circular in shape, as opposed to the square checkboxes. Example of where to find radio buttons, and how their used, would be: * A Gender Question (ie Male or Female) * A feedback poll (ie Choose your satisfaction with our product from 1 - 10) Anything that requires that a person only input one of the selections, and not be able to choose more than one would be a ideal place to use a radio button.

Can long waves such as radio waves are good for transmitting information long distance?

Because it's cheap and easy to generate radio waves, add information to them,

detect them at great distances, separate one from out of many, and recover the

information carried by the one you want. Plus, they cover the distance from one

place to another quite rapidly.
