I am taking the SAT but I have an ACT prep guide book can I still study from this?
The ACT and SAT are obviously very different in a number of ways, but there are certain skills that certainly overlap. I'd recommend finding an SAT guide book for the best results, but the ACT does cover many of the same grammar topics, math skills, and reading comprehension strategies, so practicing with those questions would definitely be better than not preparing at all. You have 20 mins for the short English writing test, 45 mins for the long English writing test, 45 mins for a level 3-5 maths and 30 mins for a level 6, English and maths 45 mins for a reading test. 45 minutes for paper A levels 3-5 and also 45 minutes for paper B levels 3-5.

Yes, but you cannot have a cell phone, study materials, a computer, or a dictionary. You will be required to keep it off of your desk/table, and will only be allowed to put necessary items on your desk. I.e. pencils.
If you are sitting any exam which is controlled then there are certain rules that must be obeyed. There will be a notice along with seating guide attached to the wall outside the exam room for your guidance before you enter. Most venues have slightly different rules about bags in the room. Ask your teacher anything you are not sure about doing before you go for your exam.
