How often do you need to feed a baby rat snake?

If its a baby you should feed it a LITTLE bit every about half hour. Make sure it's warm but not to warm.

Do not over feed it. i did one time and i cried for two days, but I found a new one and have had it for almost a month, it loves its wheel. It got out of its cage once - but about a week later we found it, and its fat again.

My rat would be in trouble if it got out of its cage! My dog & cats would get it.

p.s. I have 5 other pets NOT counting the rat - so six pets in all

You're probably thinking: Youtube is a website for you to watch videos. You can't play games! Well you're wrong. Youtube actually has a game. Believe it or not! This game you can play on youtube. You can play it while watching youtube vids! Makes it even more fun! This is what you should do:

1: Pick your fav video or any vid and watch it.

2:You're still watching the vid right? OK, now do this. (Don't stop the video, just keep watching) See those up, down, left, right arrow keys on your keypad? Press the up and left keys once, at the same time. Something should pop on your video that you're still watching. Something that looks like a tail. If you don't see it, just keep pressing the left and up keys at the same time until you see somethin.

3:Once you see that thing pop on your video, control it's movement by using your up,left, down, right keys.

4:Do you see a blinking dot or dots? You're suppose to. The point of this game is to collect as many of those blinking dots as you can without hitting any sides or touching your tail. Sounds familiar?

5:And that's how you play a game on youtube. :) Pretty cool huh?

What is the Criticism on The Snake by John Steinbeck?

One criticism of "The Snake" by John Steinbeck is that it is seen as overly simplistic in its portrayal of good and evil, with the snake representing evil and the man representing good. Some also argue that the moral lesson presented in the story is heavy-handed and lacking nuance. Additionally, some critics believe that the allegorical nature of the story limits its depth and complexity.

How are mongooses able to eat snakes?

That's a big question but a mongoose jumps on the cobra snake and starts aiming for the head.Next the cobra snake takes action and trys to squeeze the mongoose but the mongoose bites the head and gets out of the cobras grip and kills the snake.

Why doesn't a mongoose die after eating a venomous snake?

Mongooses of this genus are famous for their snake-fighting ability

and are often portrayed fighting a cobra. Research has shown that although

the mongoose is tolerant of small dosages of cobra venom, it is not immune

to it. Mongooses are almost always victorious because of their speed,

agility, and timing and also because of their thick coat.

The venom has to injected into the animal, therefore, merely eating

the snake does not cause a problem since the venom is digested by the

acids in the animal's stomach.

Venom is actually just modified saliva. It's primary function is to

capture/kill the prey and then it also helps to digest the prey.

Some venoms are referred to as hematoxic which means that they primarily

affect the blood. Almost all American pitvipers fall into this category. A

hematoxic venom destroys tissue and is very painful.

Neurotoxic venoms attack the nervous system and brain. These may cause

almost no pain, but shut down the respiratory systems and interfere with

heart functions. Good examples of these types of snakes are the cobra and

coral snakes.

Snake venom is made up of about 20 different enzymes. Species usually

have 6-12 of theseenzymes. These enzymes determine the toxicity of the

snake and whether it is hemotoxic or neurotoxic.

Do all snakes shed their skin?

Yes they do !

A snakes skin, while flexible, doesn't expand as they grow like ours does. Periodically, they have to shed the old skin in order to grow. They also shed to aid in repairing wounds to their skin too.

Young snakes shed more often (sometimes every two months) than older snakes because most of their growing is done while they're young - just as we do. Therefore they need to shed more often. An adult snake of five years or so - may only shed once a year (or even less !)

My oldest Royal Pythons only shed roughly every 16 months - yet their babies shed every seven to eight weeks !

Do trout eat snakes?

no, they only eat small animals. generally water snakes eat fish, but not trout

How many times do snakes shed in a year?

Snakes do not have a specific number of times they shed in a year because it depends on how much they eat. The more they eat the more they shed. So you can control how fast your snake will get and how fast but keep in mind that if you want them to grow slow dont end up starving them.

Do baby snakes have teeth?
