A Hydrostatic valve is basically a plug that stop water coming down out of the pool, but when the water pressure under the pool gets higher then the pressure in the pool it will let water into the pool from underneath in order to stop the pool from floating in ground water.

You can't really answer the question with a specific number because it depends on what kind of band. Full jazz bands usually have 4 or 5, small ensembles have 2 or 3, rock bands usually have 1 or 2, but in general, you can have as many as you want, or as may as it takes to cover all the trumpet parts.

We just bought a Conductor trumpet for our child from eBay. I have no experience with other trumpets, but I'm not satisfied. It's only one week old and we are having a problem with a sticking valve. Valve number 3 seems to be a little tighter than the others. I've tried the oil but that's not solving the problem. And I don't see a website where we can get information. On the good side it seems to make trumpet sounds like other trumpets when the valve works.

A: We have this Conductor trumpet as well (for my 6th grader); interestingly, it is ALSO valve #3 that sticks. The first two valves work perfectly! We're going to try and get this worked on; let us know if you are successful in getting your valve #3 fixed!

E-sharp is the same as F-natural.

The trumpet and cornet are almost identical in sound; the only difference is the amount of space the two instruments take up. The tube of the cornet is much more scrunched together, and therefore the air creates a lot more friction throughout the twists and turns. The trumpet, however, has longer stretches of metal, allowing the air to take a much more smooth route through the instrument and therefore sounding more full.
