Is it unusual for a verbally abusive husband to never verbally abuse the children?
I don't really know the statistics on verbal abuse but I do know that 90% of men who physically abuse their wives also abuse the children but I also know from experience that it is possible for him to only abuse the wife and treat the children great. Even if he is not being mean to them directly it is still abusive to be doing it in front of them. What he is doing is teaching them it is o.k. to treat people that way and you are teaching them it is o.k. to let people treat them that way. I would do whatever it takes to stop it. My first husband beat me and I left, my second husband thought he was going to talk bad to me. I told my second husband he was not good enough to talk crap to me and if he did not stop he was easy enough to replace. He stopped.
They should hide in a really god spot and make sure your older brother does not be able to reach you when he gives up get out of the hiding spot if he's there run get a parent if not go and tell on him
Why did domestic violence become a law?
In Most case when a Domestic Violence was taking place the Police would arrive and most times calm the situation down the most common advice from the Police Officer to the Husband would be leave the home or apartment for while, let things cool down then come back, what would happen most times the Husband was intoxicated from the start so 90% of the time he would end up in a local bar Drinking more and sometimes become more in rage with his wife or loved one, hours later he would then proceed home to start the whole fight over again with wife or girlfriend and they could end up in the hospital or even dead, all of this could have been avoided if the aggressor was arrested from the start, in most case the wife or girlfriend where in fear retribution from the husband or boyfriend they would not want to press charges out or fear or worried that the husband would lose money from not working or get fired for not showing up for work due to the fact he was in jail, so most states have a must arrest policy even if the wife or girlfriend do not want to press charges if the responding Police Officer feels that Domestic Violence has happen he can sign the compliant and make the arrest for the safety of the wife or girlfriend and let the courts figure it out.

What does a narcissist do to their children?
They invalidate their every thought and word and deed and they don't let them have their own boundaries. The children then have to suppress any sense of self in order to fit in with their parent's need to be right all the time. the child develops a personality disorder and the trauma they had as children affects their every relationship with other humans in the future. Therapy is vital.
Call the police station and speak to an officer about it. If the step-father is threatening the children he can be removed and not the children.
you are not allowed to do so

Is it ok to shower with your dad?
No way, its just so wrong.
#2 Actually, its probably harmless as long as A/ you feel comfortable with it, B/ what age and gender you are and C/ there is nothing on the agenda except teaching and learning about personal hygiene. But lets face it: given the world today compared to the past, such a practice would raise more than a few eyebrows and most likely the suspicions of much of society who see such behaviour as manipulation by the parent. Be careful and above all trust your better judgement. If you're old enough to ask the question, you're old enough to make your own decision without pressure.

Move out! Added: (In the U.S.) Regardless of what state he lives in, at 18 he is legally considered to be an adult and, unless he is mentally or physically challenged and his parents have been awarded his guardianship, he can take control of his own life and move away from his parent's home if he chooses.
If you have an active warrant you may be arrested. However, you can minimize that possibility by hiring an attorney. An attorney can attempt to have the warrant recalled before you physically appear in the courtroom. If it is a domestice violence charge, you may have to personally appear regardless. Whether you are taken into custody will depend to some degree on the reason for the warrant.
Hello community of answers.com I'm the one who posed the question on this site (Why do Jamaican mother hate their daughter's afican-american boyfriend and why do they forces their daughter's to merrier their own culture or somebody who is not a afican-american man is that true?) This question is not to promote hatred, dislike or any form of bad blood between cultures, races, and anything like that.
to give you some history about the question. I date in and out of my culture and race. When I date other women from other cultures and races we naturally go though our normal pace like every couples dues. When it comes-down to the women from the Caribbean Island especially Jamaican women. We meet each other by them coming over to talk to me or I come over to them and talk to them. A friend of their or mines or both. Then we make the time to get together to know one and another and each other. Then when it's time to meet their family, They bring me to their family house. The whole family takes a look at me. Then I feel the cold hands of death coming to kill our relationship. Then the mother takes my girlfriend into the other room. The family starts to insult me and puts-down the United States of American. they come back with a ocean of tears of their faces. Then they walk me to the door of their family house and tills me. We can't be together any-mover crying and then slams the door in my face.
That why I've had to ask that questions.
