its not necessarily bad for them, however it tend to get stuck to the roof of their mouth if they each too much too quickly which will cause them to gag to try to get it off.

My cat has always enjoyed catnip. He recently got over his second bout of pancreatitis. A few days later, he started a really bad cough which so far, we can only attribute to a bronchial infection (vet and myself). He also has been asthmatic AND has allergies to some moulds (cladosporium) which is high in the late fall.

Recently he has started throwing extremely bad allergic fits (licking, scratching, head shaking, running from one end of the house to the other, jumping up and lying on anything smooth. He normally does this with an allergic reaction, but not this bad.

Normally, there is catnip on their (him and his sister Alices') climbing toy so it was always out. Last night, after playing with a catnip mouse in bed, before sleep (his normal ritual) he threw one of the worst fits I've ever seen, including yowling, up and down stairs (which exhausts him with his laboured breathing). It scared the bejesus out of me. He was up all night, but stayed on his pillow and would not touch the carpet.

In the morning, I put some more catnip out for them on their climbing toy after vacuuming it. About 15 minutes later, he had another fit.

I'm not sure if it's a combination of the flovent and catnip, the allergy pills and catnip, his anti-biotic and catnip or what (the poor little guy is on so many meds right now), but he hasn't even had much itching since I took it away. Perhaps he just developed an allergy to it due to the situation he's in.

They are only good if they have human hair like a yorkie or some type of dog like that. If they have dog hair then no they are not good for people with allergies

Well, that depends. If you are allergic to cat hair, watch out for long haired cats, because they shed. If you are allergic to the cat itself, i think you should have an assistant to help you with it, and a mask is a thoughtful suggestion. But, you have to read one more thing i think you should do: Take allergy medicine before treating ANY ANY ANY ANY ANY ANY cat.

1st A: NEVER give an animal any human medicine unless a veterinarian tells you to. The amounts of the human medicines can kill a cat. Medication is based on body weight, plus some medicines that humans use cannot be metabolized by a cat. 2nd A: The only testing on animals was dogs, this product has never been studied or tested on cats.

Maltese dogs belong to dog breeds for allergy sufferers because they don't shed much. They are not just companion dogs but also therapy dogs.

The Poodle is a non-shedding breed, and a good choice for people with allergies. Many allergic people are able to keep a Poodle with no reaction.

However not all dog allergies are to just the dog dander; some people are allergic to dog saliva so there would still be a reaction. See if you can visit a breeder to see if you aren't sure if you are allergic.

You don't need to eat grass to find out if you are alergic to it. It's hard to say if you would be or not. Many people with a grass allergy have no problem with wheat and barley. To be safe, you should be tested for an alergy.

My dog has been bitten/stung by either a wasp, bee or spider (aren't sure which) on three separate occasions and I've self-administered Benadryl on two of those occasions. The first time, I took the dog to the vet. On that occasion, they gave her an injection of cortisone and Benadryl. The effects took place rather quickly - within minutes the swelling went down and the dog looked fairly back-to-normal within a day. On the two occasions that I self-administered just the Benadryl (orally, and did not give cortisone), it took about three days for the dog to look "normal" again, but the effects of the oral Benadryl were noticable after about thirty minutes (i.e.: the swelling began to go down about thirty minutes after I administered the drug.). I felt it was okay to self-administer because other than the facial swelling, the dog was acting normally, had a normal appetite and normal energy level. She was also able to swallow and drink normally. If your pet is not able to do any of these things, take him/her to the emergency/vet immediately! I hope you find this information helpful.

It's hard too tell how long an allergy will last some people do grow out of them and some don't however if you are living with cats you will probably find that your allergy will subside or disappear until then you will need to use antihistamine until then

If your dog has an allergic reaction you can treat it with human medicine usually with good results. Try Piriton or something similar but make sure you lower the dose to reflect the difference in weight, I give my pugs a quarter tablet when they have an allergic reaction and it works well.

If it is definitely a bee sting and not a wasp sting, the first thing to do is remove the barb because as long as the barb is in your skin, the venom will continue to pump into your body. (A wasp doesn't leave the barb behind.) You could then try a proprietary brand of antihistamine. You will have localised pain and swelling of the surrounding area, the severity of which varies from person to person. Wasp stings tend to be more painful than bee stings, but get the barb out!

Alot of Indian dishes contain Sour Milk as a secret ingredient as it mimics the taste of citrus fruit, in areas where citrus is not available.

If the milk isn't green, or chunky, and hasn't come in contact with feces or any other bacteria ridden substance. If you drink sour milk, you will be just fine.
