Why can chickens live with no head?
A chicken without a head can only live for several seconds. Then it will die. But the body of the chicken can run around and flap its wings strenuously, if you consider that really any kind of life.

Do people care about animals in the zoos?
I work as a Zookeeper, and the previous answer was close-minded and uninformed. The animals that are housed in reputable zoos are healthy, engaged, and very, very happy. The Association of Zoos and Aquariums along with the USDA inspect AZA recognized zoos (of which there are around 229) regularly to ensure the health and emotional well-being of the animals in their care.
Some "zoos" treat their animals poorly, but that is not a reflection of all zoos. Not at all.
Zoos are extremely important, as it brings conservation to the surface for anyone who visits. Some of these animals actually don't have a habitat to go back to (tigers, white rhinos, elephants. etc.) and displaying them in a high quality zoo is a fantastic way of letting people who would never see them or care about them see them in all of their natural beauty, and even inspire some to become involved in their conservation.
The main purpose of a Zoo is to house animals that are endangered or threatened in order to maintain the species' existence if it ever becomes extinct in the wild. The visitors are an awesome perk, as they contribute to the funding, upkeep, diets, and renovations of the zoos they visit.
Ultimately it is important to realize that Zoos as a whole are an important asset to conservation, and organizations that black-ball ALL Zoos based on the actions of a few are doing far more damage to conservation of endangered species and habitats than the worst zoo that ever existed.
I hope that one day we will have a respect for nature and wildlife that eliminates the need for Zoos, and keeps all wildlife species stable instead of exploiting and killing them for unnecessary reasons, or just because they happen to be living where we want a parking lot to be. Until then, until we decide as a community to genuinely care how we decimate the biodiversity of the planet, Zoos will be an integral part of the conservation of the wildlife that we have threatened with our progress and expansion.
Support AZA recognized Zoos. Boycott the Zoos that are run by amateurs just to gain a profit.
Is it true animals control everything with there brain?
No, animals do not control everything they do with their brains. First of all, not all animals even have brains. For example, worms do not have brains, although they do have nerve ganglia. Jellyfish don't even have nerve ganglia. Secondly, there are processes that do not involve the brain, such as the secretion of various enzymes or hormones, or cellular metabolism, or the functioning of the immune system. All sorts of things happen in an animal body that the brain does not control.

But the question is extremely interesting. If we narrow it to refer to animals that do have brains, and to animal behavior, the answer takes a different direction. The majority of people probably hold that animals do not have souls, spirits or minds in the same sense that many believe people have them. The conclusion would be then that all animal behavior is deterministic; it is the result purely of activity in the brain and nervous system, taking into account also how the brain reacts to various things like blood sugar level, the levels of various hormones and every other possible biochemical and neurochemical process that can impact the brain in any way. As soon as you begin to attribute soul, spirit or mind to animals you face the problem of concluding that non-human animals have some degree of free will, and can make decisions using faculties beyond their brains, nervous systems and bodies. Who knows-- maybe this is true. But many will not be comfortable reaching that conclusion. The related problem is that if non-human animals have behavior that is completely deterministic, what is the evidence that this is not also true for human beings?

What is The symbiosis of the rhino and the tick bird?
I don't know if there is a thing called a "tick bird" or not, but the bird that rides
on a rhino, and eats parasites off of it's hide,
is a part of a symbiotic relationship for sure:
The bird gets food.
The rhino loses annoying parasites.
Both animals are in symbiosis. (mutually benefiting)
The bird eats the ticks off the rhino's back and warns the rhino of any danger (mutualism). The bird also eats the blood from sores on the rhino's skin and it prevents them from healing (parasitism).
What is good about animal trafficking?
There is nothing good about animal trafficking. It's actually one of the largest direct threats to the survival of many of the world’s most threatened species, second only to habitat destruction.
What do you do when you are pissed off with your dog?
Absolutely nothing.
The dog does not understand your anger, nor does it know that it does wrong.
Whatever the problem may be, if your dog does 'wrong' in your eyes, a firm "no" is best.
Don't ever lash out or hit your dog.
You'll come to regret it in the long run.

How can you tell if a dog has bruised ribs?
If they are limping then call the dog up onto your couch. Check under the pad of the sore leg and if they pull their foot back then it's a bruised pad. It may also be a legiment in the leg. Here are two things you can do before seeing your vet: * Take one half cup of Epsom Salts and put boiling water in it to dissolve the crystals. Then add to a basin of TEPID water (check water with the underside of your wrist.) Take the paw and put it into the basin for at least 10 minutes. * To be sure it's not the leg, start to massage at the top of the leg where the muscles starts and gently massage for 2 - 3 minutes then take both thumbs and gently massage all the way down the leg. Do this several times during the next couple of days. * Check the 'dew claw' behind the dog's foot to be sure it's not bleeding or it's not growing into the skin. This can be painful as well. If you dog is still limping it's best to see the vet to be sure something hasn't poked in between the pads of the dogs foot. It isn't uncommon for a dog to get what they call a 'stone bruise' on one of their pads.
Why do some people think that animals have no feelings?
They are animals. They are not nearly as advanced or have the same capabilities as us. There is nothing wrong with hunting. Even the Bible says God put the animals on the land for us. Plus, hunting is virtually painless in many cases. There's nothing wrong with reaping the benefits of nature. There is a difference between humans and animals.

After the fur traders kill the animals what do they do next?
i myself am a hunter, and like most respect the ethics of hunting. The most basic ethis hunters use is "one shot, one kill" so the animal doesn't suffer. when the animal is shot you gut it, and then bring it back to your vehicle where you take it home. when you have it on a proper cleaning device you cut the hide off, the cut out the meat and burn, dispose or tan the hide and probably bury or burn the carcass.

Why are tigers being killed by human beings?
Bengal Tigers are an example of the adaptions and evolution that all animals make to the changing environments, and circumstances in which they live. To be able to study these changes continually, to measure their evolution as a species, to overall environmental pressure, and stress is of incredible value. This can be an insightful learning experience about all animals especially, top of the food chain predators, and how they adapt, and adjust to different types of stress. Considering the Bengal Tiger is the apex predators in their food chain, without their continued presences, their prey animals populations would quickly become out of balance. This would then be reflected through out all regions the Bengal Tiger had maintained hunting territory, if another top predator didn't replace them quickly. The prey animals left to live unmolested, would soon threaten their own food source, have difficulty finding food, birth populations would drop, many would sicken, and others would suffer starvation. This could be the first steps that could lead to another species becoming imperiled. The cycle would continue, for any number of new species that could become endangered. While tigers that are poached today are generally sold to the black market to be used for body parts. They are wanted for everything from their fur pelt to their teeth, claws, paws, tails, internal organs, and bones. Most of this is sold for use in the "Chinese Traditional Medicine" market. That market would apply even more pressure on the tiger species that were remaining, making their continued survival questionable. Lastly, to have any species become extinct, when it's within humanity's abilities to save, is a tragedy for future generations both socially, and scientifically. We can never truly know, what we are losing when a species slips through our fingers. For more details, please see the sites listed below.

Where can you find a vet tech career ladder?
You can try the related link attached to this question - this is a Master's thesis proposing a career ladder rather than a formally developed and implemented career ladder. In general, there isn't a formal career ladder for a vet tech - you pick the job you want and either over time gain additional responsibility at that position, or you take a new job that offers more opportunities and responsibility.
