What is the axle to axle height on a Buckmaster 2000?
Hi. . .I just bought a used Jennings Buckmaster bow, and I love it! I've been searching the web for info about these bows, and somewhere (I can't remember where at the moment) I found a chart that lists various specs for several kinds of bows (maybe all Escalade bows, which bought out Bear, Jennings, Golden Eagle, etc.). Anyway, this chart lists an axle-to-axle distance of 39.5" for all Buckmaster 2000 bows, with draw lengths from 27" to 32". That's what mine measures, too.
How do you adjust a draw length on a bear whitetail hunter bow?
On my Bear Whitetail Hunter there are 3 slots on both the top and bottom pulleys that the cable sits in. One center, and on either side the others are marked with a plus or minus. It is my understanding that you need to put the bow in a press and move the cable position to the desired slots (plus to lengthen, minus to shorten). I am in the process of shortening the draw length of my own. As far as the range of length adjustment or whether both pulleys need to be in the same slots I am not sure. Hope that this helps somewhat. Happy shooting. Jake.

What is the best bow and arrow for a 12 year old boy that is 5 foot 2?
A recurve bow that is about 66" in length with a draw weight of 18# to 20#. This would allow the child to grow with the same bow for a while. Remember you can still crank up the tilter to add 3# to the existing 18# or 20# later on. If your child has difficulties pulling the suggested weight the first time, he will grow stronger within the next two sessions 1 week apart, with stretch band practice in between sessions. I have youth students at the age of 9 pulling a starting weight of 18# and pulling a 20# after 3 sessions, and youth students at age 11 pulling a starting weight of 20# and pulling a 24# after 3 sessions. They do grow stronger fast.

How many kmh does an arrow go when shot with a 25 pound bow?
There is no way to tell the velocity of an arrow based solely on the draw weight. There are many other factors that come into play such as the type of arrow, point, fletching, nocks, inserts, release, the bow's efficiency, and even temperature. However, a recurve will probably spit out an arrow at roughly 100-175 kph. Draw weight does play a part but the factors mentioned above are more important.
