My insignia remote wont work just a red light comes on when you push any button batteries are new?

Isignia is also made under the Hisense brand name...if you still have the original remote, the instructions on how to program it can be found in the "Universal Remote Control User Manual" which can be downloaded from:

http://www.remotes.com/remotes/documents/Hisense/HYDFSR-A205E.pdf

The original remote will only accept 3-digit program codes....the device will be TV1 on the remote and the code that worked on my tv which is the Insignia IS-HDPLTV42 is 589. Just in case that doesn't work...try the codes listed for Hisense under the "Brand of TV" tables listed in the Universal Remote Control User Manual.

Hope this helps

What is the effect of low temperature on the operation of a lead-acid storage battery?

A lead-acid battery works because of chemical changes inside it with sulfuric acid and lead. When the temperature falls, the strength of these chemical reactions fall, too. This results in less battery capacity.

How were the 12 steps from AAA developed?

The 12 steps of AA were developed by trial and error. Two drunks got together and decided to help each other get sober. As they worked through the program, they wrote down the steps they figured out. They came up with their program of one drunk helping another.

Some psychologists have found fault with the 12 steps but have never created a better program strictly involving laymen. They think a professionally run program can do better and perhaps it can. However, it gets away from the idea of one drunk helping another. Court ordered participation does not work. Those ordered to go by the court do not go willingly. They do not bring food to the covered dish suppers. The rest refuse to get involved with them. The court wrecks the program unless the volunteers keep their own activities secret. So the 12 steps were worked out by the drunks themselves.

How much time can you get for battery?

This is a difficult question to answer, because unlike provisions under the Qld Criminal Code, there is generally no "time" in terms of a jail sentence given under the law of torts. The remedies in the law of tort, under which battery exists, offers mainly nominal damages. Damages in the form of exemplary and aggravated damages.

If you're worried about "time" the Criminal Code sets out provisions through which criminal assault is addressed. For common assault (which is similar to battery) an offender is liable for 3 years impriosonment. Then again, all relevant circumstances and factors of the offence must be taken into account.

Why it is detrimental to the environment and humans if battries are not disposed of in a responsible way?

Batteries sometimes contain heavy metals, mercury being the most problematic. These can get into soil and water and from there, they can get into plants and animals.

If you eat an animal or plant containing heavy metals in their body, those will pass onto you. So it's bad for the whole food chain, humans included.

There are many documented health effects due to heavy metals.

How do you make the battery light to go out after replacing the battery?

What is a battery lawyer used for?

How does a rechargeable cell work?

rechargeable cell are of various types. the most common type of rechargeable cell is lead oxide cell, where sulphuric acid of certain concentration is used . during discharging process when the acid concentraton is dropped below specified level, the performance of battry decreases. by use of appropriate charging circuit, at fixed voltage not exceeding the prescribed value of current , the cell is charged until the acid level is 1.25 .

What does the light that has a picture of a Battery and a thermometer mean?

Instrument Panel Warning Lights

Usually, when any warning light turns on is an indication that there is something wrong in that system.

Occasionally, malfunctions in the sensors and alert system can imply trouble in the system it represents, even though there is nothing wrong.

When a warning light or signal is noticed, the vehicle operator should either check out the system alerted [ONLY IF QUALIFIED] or have the vehicle checked by a qualified automotive service technician. This is because some malfunctions can be serious enough to cause very expensive damage to the vehicle's components.

The warning symbol with the battery icon can illuminate due to many things, some of which immediately come to mind include [but this list is not all inclusive]:

  • Loose or missing drive belt allowing alternator to "slip" and thus not put out enough voltage to properly charge the battery.
  • An "open circuit" [loose or broken conductor (wire), corroded connections or connectors, burned out diodes in the alternator, etc., etc.] in any of the circuits related to charging of the battery.

The thermometer icon usually comes on to indicate that the coolant [water and antifreeze or lubricant] temperature is above or approaching an dangerously high temperature. Uncorrected over-temperature of an engine can ultimately result in boil-off of coolant, and total destruction of an engine. It can also be dangerously unsafe for anyone trying to add more coolant to the system.

How do you know when your battery to your remote for your car starter is dead?

The first thing that you want to do is check your battery. This is the most common problem with vehicle no-starts, so by checking your battery, you will either solve the problem immediately or rule out one potential issue. If you turn on your head lights and they are bright, your radio is loud, and you can use your automatic windows and doors, then your battery definitely isn't dead. This means that it is most likely your starter or some more serious problem, such as a timing belt or even something like a lack of fuel.
