The ornaments or "roundels" as they are called are pressed into two rubber grommets.

You will need a long thin (longer the better) flat bladed screwdriver to prise with and then something firm and thin to put between the screwdriver and the hood/trunk of the car so as not to dent or scratch the paint. I have used cardboard, rubber mat, or a tightly folded paper towel.

Slide the blade end of the screwdriver under one side of the roundel (Doesn't matter where you start.)and then place your cardboard, rubber etc under the screwdriver as close to the blade as possible.

Gently press down on the handle of the screwdriver taking care to not dent or scratch the paint. Repeat the procedure at regular intervals around the roundel until it comes loose.(like every 90 degrees or so) Some can be very tight so have patience and be gentle and it will come loose.

Once you have the roundel out you can wipe out the dirt and grime that has accumulated.

Installation is very easy. Align the studs on the bottom of the roundel with the rubber grommets and press in using even pressure around the whole roundel. I use both hands and put fingers all around to distribute the load.

Once it's in flush, stand back and admire.....That's what I did!

take off the door pannle and there should be a metal rod eatier brok or hanging off the lock if that's not it. it would be the motor or your switch

Remove it and take the tank unit out and if it isn't too bad you can get rags in and work them with screwdrivers and get it clean. If it is too bad for that, take it to a radiator shop as they can boil it out.

It is Alpine made unit and normally radio comes with security code printed on the code card. Code entry insturctions are provided in the manual.

In case you lost the code card, you can obtain the original code from dealers, but you have to proove ownership and provide the VIN of the car etc.

i assume there is no clicking sound??? possible causes could be a faulty igntion switch, try hitting under the steering column where your ignition key goes in, give it some real good hard hits, and try, if it cranks/starts, you have a faulty ignition switch, if not, you may have a blown fuse, a bad battery, or a bad starter, generally speaking, alot of clicking, means a faulty battery, one click, or few clicks means faulty starter,

You first remove the trim panel that sits right above the glove compartment. Then remove the trim panel that goes over the radio. Then there should be two Philips head screws you must remove, and viola.

if you don't have the code you can take it to a dealer and they can pull the radio and tell you the code. if you know the code simply enter it with the number keys.

The radio code can not be reset. If you do not havethe code, then you needto take the radio to the dealership and havetehm look it up, or alternaticvely post the info on bimmerforums etc for them to look it up. IF the information can not be obtained, you need to buya new radio.

1)get all the remotes you want to program even the ones already programmed(you can program up to 4 remotes)

2)get inside car and close all doors

3)insert key into ignition lock

4)turn ignition on then off and remove the key from the ignition cylinder

in less than 20 sec

5)press and hold the unlock button

6)press the lock button 3 times then release both buttons (the doors should lock then unlock)

to program additional remotes repeat the steps 5 an 6 on the other remotes in the same time interval without opening any doors or turning on ignition

7)open the door or open ignition to finish the programming process

You must have BMW specific software in order to clear any ABS codes. If you have an ABS light on, you need to have the car diagnosed using BMW software such as INPA,Carsoft,a GT1 or other type. Once you have an ABS light showing, it will remain on as long as the faul is present. If the fault condition no longer exists, it will clear itself but store the fault in memory. Sadly, you need repairs.

You require a clutch alignment tool. They are called Matra tools. The id number for that tool is Matra tool 529/1. You can't do this at all without that alignment tool.

It is a lever to the right of the Accelerator pedal. Pull that! Then go to the middle of its grills and put your fingers in the hole. Find the lever and then it will move to the left or right, give it a bit of a push up and ta da!!
