No person is worth that kind of agnony. Even if he is with someone else and you will find this hard to believe. But down the road you wont even care one bit. I use to feel literally naseuous to think of my ex in bed with someone else. But then I got to the point where I though well whoever it is will also have to take my place as being the victim of mental torture. They wont just get a great lover (mine wasnt) but if yours was they wont get just the good guy stuff, they will also get all the crap. Is that what you want out of life? Right now you may feel so down and say yes to yourself. But girl, when you get stronger I guarantee you wont care if he wins the lottery. You will be indifferent. The only way to get to indifference is ignore, no contact and stay away from him. It will hurt and be hard not to contact him but dont. Trust that time will heal.

this is a tricky question because there are several different types of love. if it is the love from you to an old flame who has hurt you or has moved on themseleves the answer is simply that if it was true love you do not stop loving that person, instead you move on with your life and find someone else that you can love just as much or more. and just so you know if the opposite person who you are trying to stop loving really truly loved you, but has moved on, this does not mean that they have stopped loving you, they are just trying to go on with their lives and would probably want you to be able to do the same.
