Should you believe what a man says or what he does?
Depends on the situation and the age of the person. A young child should be taught by their parents to never believe what a male stranger says or what he does, to avoid entrapment, paedophiles and on-line 'groomers'. An adolescent should be taught to have a healthy scepticism of what a man says or what he says he does, when chatting on-line: after-all, a man who says he is 14 might be a sixty year old. An adult, on the other hand, can usually, though not always, tell whether someone is lying or being honest ... and in that case, belief in what a man says and what he does, is assessed according to the situation and the person concerned on a case by case basis.

well, maybe they feel this way because it happened to her/him before and that someone just don't want to get hurt again. Make him/her feel comfortable around you by being there for him/her, cheering her/him up, talking to her/him more and let that person know that you care about her/him. Be closer to her/him, its not just gonna take like a week and she'll/he'll be with you, it takes time and if you really love this person, you wold wait until he/she feels comfortable around you.

oh girl I've been there before. after my very first boyfriend ever broke up with me, i cried every night for a week and didn't get over him for months. i hated every minute of it, just being miserable over a boy. i felt ashamed and weak, and powerless. he didnt even talk to me.

since my first breakup ever, in seventh grade, i have never shed another tear because of a guy. litterally. I'm not saying its bad to cry, get it out of your system! but it IS bad to just wallow in your own sorrow or jealousy or hate or longing or misery. it just keeps you from moving on and being happy again. I've also been single a lot, and there is nothing wrong with that either.
this boy, (not to be harsh or anything, but..) this boy is not into you anymore, and there is probably no hope of return to him. this is what i realized. so, why still hang on to broken threads of a relationship if it only hurts you?
now, every time i break up with a boy, or especially, if a boy breaks up with me, i just completely skip the whole crying and being sad and IMMEDIATLEY delete all pictures of him, all messages, email, IM, block him on face book, ect. and move on and have a kick-butt girls night out. wipe him from your mind.

YES, definitely! The verbal abuse is probably a result of a shortcoming in the husband, or to his mind, anyway. It probably has nothing to do with his wife..This is why evaluation and therapy is so paramount to getting to the bottom of all this pain, if you both love each other enough to commit to it. Start attending church at least weekly and ask him to go with you. Pray that God will bring good male role models into his life from the church community and continue to attend church with your child even if the father does not attend God will provide the best if you draw close to Him
If he is still confused about what he wants at this time then he is in no position to be in a relationship and cannot commit. Give him some time and space - don't pester, pressure, be overbearing or needy as guys do not like it - it will only push him away. If/when he is ready and wants to be with you he will come to you but it would be in your best interest to not wait around or put your life on hold for what may not happen.
He may not want you to think anything different and as ex's is just ready to move on as you should too. He is your ex and really does not owe you anything nor does he have to communicate with you - it would also indicate he is not interested in you so it would be in your best interest to move on and let him be.
