The oil pressure sending unit on a 1997 Buick LeSabre is located on the bottom side of the engine, near the oil filter. It monitors oil pressure to ensure that the pump is working properly.

Loosen the power steering lines at the lowest point and drain into a bucket. Remove the 98 LeSabre pump belt, then remove the lines. Unbolt and remove the pump, then bolt in the new one. Connect the lines and belt before filling the pump with new fluids.

You may be hearing the fuel pump. Turn the ignition on without starting the engine and listen carefully for the fuel pump. It will only run for a few seconds if you do not start the engine. Is that the sound you are hearing? You may also be hearing the blower motor which runs at it lowest setting continuously on some cars.

take it in to have the codes reset. they were set off with the battery change.

Yes. Most parts stores carry MAF Cleaner in a spray can. If your MAF is grimey, it can cause your engine to run rough, hesitate, etc... MAF Cleaner will help a lot. Just be careful handling the MAF, it's a delicate part.

I believe there isn't one, i have a '91 LeSabre and it doesnt have one. 87- 91 Lesabres are exactly the same cars, so it seems like you have a problem with your headlight staying on all the time. If that's the problem then i cant help you.

The filter is located under the passenger side directly under the door area. The car will have to be jacked up to access it. Be sure to follow the pressure relief procedure before disconnecting the filter. See the link to the right on "Fuel Injection In-Tank Fuel Pump Replacement Instructions."

U put a 7/16"or a 3/8' Wrench where the hub cap key would go-U stick the wrench straight into the hole in the center with the outside of the wrench catching the outside of the lock-U use another wrench on the other end 4 a handle-also needle nose vise-grips work sometimes,but the wrench is much faster..

The car uses keys ("Pass-Key II" is simply a GM VATS key)with a security chip. The chip is actually just a resistor with one of 15 possible values (the resistance determines GM's numerical value). If the lock in the steering column does not make proper contact with the chip, the wrong value is sent to the security module and the car will not start (Security light ON). There are two methods to prevent the car from operating: 1) there is a relay in the starter circuit controlled by the security module. 2) The security module sends an AC signal to the computer to enable the computer, no signal, no run. My simple fix was to locate the wires to the switch, two small wires in a plastic jacket, unlike any other wires exiting the steering column, and modify the circuit. Cut the cable and solder in a resistor of the same resistance as the chip in a key. Google found instructions on adding a remote start to vehicles with this system. The car then runs, but the extra security of the chip is lost, but on a car that is not 10+ years old??

To disasemble the door all you need to do is remove the little panel that covers the two bolts in the little handle in the door and then you need to take out the light on the left side of the inside of the door then you need to pull up on the door this will remove the door and then you need to find the cord that connects to the speaker and then disconnect and then you can connect the new one and just place it in the door like so!

Dropping the gas tank is not necessary. There is a plate in the trunk that can be removed allowing access to the fuel pump module. Big time saver! Don't forget to properly reseal so gas fumes do not enter the passenger compartment.

The ave cost is around 80 $. That clears out most everything and usually clears up and problems,discoloration etc. It would be wise if you are having some minor leakage under the car to go for the 110$.
