Why would headlights on a Cadillac Catera not go off?
Don't know the circumstances for the question, but if the headlights were turned on manually and then won't turn off when the switch is turned to the left, the problem is with the switch. If you place a screwdriver about halfway down on the left side of the switch module (put a piece of cloth between the screwdriver and the instrument panel) and then gently pry out the switch module you will probably find that the metal clip on the right side is not right. I had the same problem with mine and I think the switch depends on those clips being positioned properly. If you look at them the clip pushes on a spring. I think that spring aids in the return of the switch. When reinserting the switch, take the side panel off first so that the connector can be held while the switch is inserted otherwise it probably won't connect. If you're not 'handy' find a mechanic. The fan motor on W124 E-Class cars is located underneath the windshield wiper motor. You need to remove the windshield wiper assy., and then you can access the fan box. The top cover is secured w/small latches. If the fan fuse is not blown, and the fan does not work, it may be the blower regulator, which is located underneath the fan assy. Follow these instructions exactley!! Or you will break the new mirror!! Roll down the window all the way. Move the mirror so that access can be gained on the outboard edge of the mirror and housing. The outboard edge is the location on the mirror housing right next to the door. Now take a flat object like a flat file or use your fingers and pull the mirror away from the housing. Detach the wires. Now take off the 2 plastic motor gear nuts if they didnt come off already. Take your long nose pliers and pull straight out on these. Do not lose the little springs!! Now take and install the gear nuts with springs on your good mirror snap them right on they are keyed so pay attention. Now grab a flash light you will need it position the new mirror to the housing connect the wires then align the 2 gear nuts so they will reinstall into the slot holes they came out of. Make sure they are aligned up !! When you are sure they are aligned push in on the center of the mirror carefully. You should feel or hear 2 snaps . One from the gear nuts engaging and the other from the pivot points connecting to the base of the mirror. You are done.

Either: 1) The tire is the wrong size. If the side of the tire is rubbing, you probably need a narrower tire. If the top of the tire is rubbing, you need a tire of smaller diameter, e.g. instead of 225/45R18 perhaps the tire should be 215/45R18 (narrower tyre), or 225/35R18 (lower profile). Check your vehicle's handbook to ascertain what the correct size tire is.
2) The Strut that has been put on the car has been bent. This can happen to new or old struts so make sure you check your struts after a week or so just to make sure nothing's touching. A strut can also be bent from the factory which is sometimes missed when the strut is put on. 3) The spring seat can be different shapes. When struts come out of the factory they SHOULD all be the same, however sometimes the strut seat is convex ( when it should be concave ). This can cause the tyre to rub against the spring seat. This can often be knocked back a little, however knocking it back too far can cause structural integrity problems.
