It is on the front of the motor underneath the plastic air intake. You have the option of removing the filter from the top or bottom of the car. From the top I would remove the plastic tubing first. From below I would just be ready for the cascade of oil that will pour out of the filter. I place paper towels and wrap most of the things in a plastic bag before taking the filter off of this car. Poor placement and angle of the filter; engineers..go figure. I have a 2007 Aura XR with 73K miles and still find the filter removal to be a fluid-filled experience...

Oh man! 'You' CANNOT change the tranny fluid unless you have a special mechanic's tool and it most be put up on a lift to do so! The cadillac catera has what is called a SEALED TRANSMISSION ofcourse so you have to take it to a shop. My grandson just bought a used one and we just wanted to check the fluid level and had to take it in for even that!! God Bless, grandmom in N.J.

a location I experienced (second author here) is one or some of the three relays a few inches from the battery connections and I heard there may be one near the glove box (I tapped on a stuck one of the three to get the cooling fan to go off)

Yes. It is generally a myth that midgrade or premium fuels improve engine performance. It is true that certain high performance engines require a higher octane fuel. this, however, is typically in the realm of racing engines that use 104 octane or better. Higher octane fuels generally just produce more pollutants, and cost more. the higher octane actually burns hotter, and therefore can cause greater wear on the engine. Most cars do just fine on 87 - 90 octane fuels (the octane range for regular unleaded fuels).

The water pump itself will need a special water pump tool. You can usually borrow it from Autozone. Other than that just standard sockets to get to the pump. Be carefull with the stud bolts when you put them back on, they snap if you tighten them too tight.

The AC compressor is located on the bottom of the engine on drivers side . Look on the label on the radiator cross member for the serpentine belt and shows you where the compressor is ..

To change the bulbs all you have to do is put a flat blade screw driver on the right side of the bulb housing and gently push to the left. This will release the catch holding it in and it will drop out and down on the end of its wiring connector. 1/4 turn the bulb and remove. Replace the bulb and just put the housing back into the opening left side first, then just push up on the right side till you hear a click. Takes about 1 min per light. Works for all Deville types 00-08

The only place I found replacement bulbs besides the Cadillac dealer ($32.00) for 2 bulbs was NAPA Auto Parts ($5.00) for 2 bulbs, On my 2004 Sedan Deville the release is to the left side of the housing.

could be many reasons i.e. thermostat, air mix door, temp adj, but 1st thing i would look for is to check the coolant level in the radiator. If it's low, cold air is what you are going to get.

Blown fuse? Refrigerant leak?

you have to remove the radiator and fans and all the covers and then the alternator will be a piece of cake to pull out and replace

behind the engine, next to the brake booster, a ring of 7mm screws finess it out wriggling it a little. replace the control module at the same time!!

Follow the top radiator hose to the engine block loosen the clamp that holds this hose you will then see 2 bolts on what is the thermostat housing the thermostat is in here. remove the 2 bolts pull it off the block and inside is the thermostat remove it and install a new one put things back in reverse way.

bra two ways, by new air shocks for rear w/ manual air inlet, and air up. or check your compressor make sure it works, your air lines dont leak, and shocks hold air and adjust your height sensor behind RR tire. or remove coil springs and put air bags in rear, like i did. ridin big on 22s patna

NO NO NO that is the fuel filter, not the pump. The fuel pump is actually inside of the gas tank.

The steering pump should be on top to the right...the next pully down closest to the radiator is your smog pump.

I desperately need to know how to take it off without pulling everything.

It seems the last bolt is right against the exaust. I also need to know the est.hrs. to replace the smog pump.

we are trying to take the rotors off on our 98 cadillac deville but we do not know which way to turn the bolts? Does anyone have info for us....

the front has 4 bolts on each side 2 in front and 2 in back seat the bottom half you push it the lift up and the top half has two bolts then it comes off
