ETC stand for Eldorado touring coupe I should know i have one.

The ECM is located inside the vehicle. It is on the passenger side above the heater box.

There is a light sensor located at the top middle of the dashboard, near the windshield. This will turn your lights on automatically if the lights are not manually turned on. However, if you drive under some street lights or a bright area, it can read this as daylight and turn the lights off. To avoid this, always make sure that your lights are manually turned on at night. This sensor also effects the interior lights. They should not automatically come on during the day if it is working properly.

The worn bushings can be pressed out and replaced. This is the most economical solution to worn bushings. After market replacement parts can't be ordered from any Auto Parts dealer. Read the discussion page for this question.

There are a few possibilities. First, check to see that you have enough coolant/antifreeze in the system. With the engine running, (in park, e-brake on) and warmed up, watch the overflow reservoir to see if there is coolant returning at an even flow, with no air bubbles. Next is the heater control valve. this is controled by vacuum. The testing process is somewhat lengthy, but simple. You will need a vacuum pressure tester. Consult your manual for test procedure. The last thing that I would suspect is that the heater core is blocked. It will need to be tested for flow. You can do this while the core is in the vehicle.

Hi, I want to fit new injectors to my eldorado 1976 and have now found some from a company who believe it or not have 50 of these at $35.00 each..anyway in answer to your question if you have the old ones (which should be green and not blue) get your ohm meter and measure across the two terminals this way it will give you the ohms...the full presure if you are interested should be between 36 and 39 psi...ThanksChas

check the engine ground cable at the right front of the motor (pass front), it goes from the alternator to the vehicle body

Its located where your left foot would be if you were driving ( upper left corner under the dash).

I have a 98' cadillac deville and it should constantly read around 197-201 when you are driving. It will definitely increase when you come to rest: example at a street light. something is definitely wrong and should be checked.

There's a (fuel door) button on the dash (toward the center), next to the trunk open button.

But both these buttons are disabled if the valet switch in the glove box is depressed.

See to that valet switch (button) first.

if you just want to change the belt put 1/4" drive extension into the tensioner to release belt,then you need to take tensioner off...2 10mm bolts...remove tensioner & slip belt off...you may have to remove air ductwork for access

pull your air filter off turn car over if it shoots out fluid then your thermostat isn't stuck if you take it out and turn the car over it should spit antifreeze out cost a couple bucks for a new 1
