Mine in my 1983 Eldorado Are located inside the fenders on both size. On The ender side o the battery there should be a hole in it that 2 of thehorns should be. the other 2 are o n the opposite side of the engine bay

There are two separate fuse panels in a 92 eldorado. One is in the trunk on the left side and the other is under the hood near the windshield wiper fluids.

I think that there is a button inside the glove box that will turn the traction control on and off.

If you are looking for Idle Learn. Here is the procedure for 1990 Eldorado.

# Place the vehicle transmission in drive wither the brakes applied. # Place vehicle climate control in the OFF position and allow the engine to remain at IDLE for at least one minute. # Make sure the outside air temperature reading is at least 50°F. Place the vehicle climate control in the AUTO position, verify A/C clutch engagement, and allow the engine to remain at IDLE for at least one minute. # Place the3 transmission in Park and turn off the ignition.

Hello yes there is two signal flashers on the 2000 eldorado take the cover off from under the dash under the steering wheel one is silver to your right the other is to the left sitting in the corner a black little box.

If it has a carburetor then its on your engine block. they are not expensive just go down to your local auto parts store and pick one up plenty are available.

The theft system problem can make starting the system difficult. It requires professional to first restore the system, enable it before starting it.

YOU add coolant to the overflow catch tank not directly to the rad,when motor is cold remove catch tank cap,if you can barely touch the fluid with your longest finger then you are ok.do not fill to the top,as is fluid will just overflow on to the ground

First I would let the car sit overnight. The next BEFORE starting the engine, open the hood and inspect the level of the coolant in the OVERFLOW JAR. If level is too high, adjust to proper level ( sometimes the container is accidently OVERFILLED ) . If it continues, extreme temps caused by one of many things is pushing the coolant out of the overflow tube

There is so much that requires power that my '97 Caddy has two fuse boxes. One for the back half of the car and the other for the front half. The Owner's Manual shows it near the transmission hump on the driver's side, but I found min under the hood on the drivers side. Huge number of 10,20 amp pull fuses and some bigger ones. I found a fuse puller on the inside of the door to the glove box, along with a few replacement fuses. It was under a cover labeled as fuses. I am still looking for some sort of master fuse as I have very little function on my digital dashboard (totally unlit, except for the various system icons). But I have lights, turn signals and the engire starts and the radio works. But no speedometer!!

I have an '84 Eldorado, with the same engine. The timing is set after the engine is warmed up, running at 800 RPM or less. You must first disconnect the green connecter behind the distributor near the firewall. The setting is 10 degrees before top dead center (10 DEG BTDC). Although on an older car like this you'll find you get better performance by advancing it a little more. I set mine about 12-13 deg BTDC. Then don't forget to re-connect the green connector.

Did you bleed the brake lines? That may be the problem why the pedal goes all the way to the floor and only works when pumping it. It's the master cylinder. I don't care if you DID change it, it's bad. If it has the rear caliper with the emergency brake built in, the piston works on a ratching system. If you recently changed the pads, try setting the parking brake a few times and see if that improves the stopping. You no wat my anser is the that bad your's is so leave me aalone...

you will get from 16mpg city to 26mpg highway stock my 94 eldorado gets about 14 inheavy traffic but gets about 16 normally mostly city, but when i hit the highway it goes up to 28

I recently changed the alternator on my 95 eldorado. Heres what i found . . .

Since the Northstar motor is transverse you need to remove alot of parts to get access to it. When changing mine i had to CAREFULLY remove the plastic vlaences over the headlights, radiator fans, air cleaner and housing, transmission cooler, and radiator to get to it. Im sure im missing something, but you will know once you ge working on it. Once you have access to the alternator, remove the serpentine belt, and then you will be able to remove the bolts for the alternator. Label each one, because they are all different, and have specific spots. Theres 5 if i remember correctly. After the old alternator is removed you obviously get a new one.

IMPORTANT: There is a difference between the Eldorado and Eldorado ECT alternators. Be sure you get the right one.

After that's all sorted out, its a matter of putting the new alternator in, putting on, and tensioning the belt, and then putting all of the other parts back in. Dont be scared of thisoperation. All of these parts are easy to remov and install. This is a time consuming process, and it isn't a bad idea to have 2 people working on it. But think of all the money youll save in labor costs at a shop!
