What you seem to have is a press photo, or also known as a wire photo. Press photos are a very collectible, and can sell for hundreds of dollars depending on photo quality, composition, and subject. Other factors in putting a value on the photo is; was the Photo used in a publication? Finding this publication would add value. The photographer that took the photo could also add value. Sometimes this information is provided on the back as well. With the subject being Babe Ruth dated to 1932 this photo would be valued at a high end price. The Cleveland player as well as the women in the photo could also add value. Putting a story behind the photo will only help. find out who the other people in the photo are, and if the date June 12 1932 has any historic significance. The photo in general could be worth between $100. - $200. If you can provide more information with the photo it will sell for more money.
Thaila Zucchi - fill ya boots.
Cameras do not refract light, lenses do. Refraction occurs whenever light passes from one medium to another, so it is not something that only occurs with lenses.

Is ritz camera filing for bankruptcy?
You will virtually never hear of a company filing for BK before it actually happens...for many financial and legal reasons. Rumors about such are just that and probably more commonly wrong than right. No question, the Ritz chain has substantial financial issues...like who doesn't...and BK is one possible option. Actually, it did file BK back in 2001, around the time it bought Wolf Camera 9who was also in BK), but that case was basically resolved a few years later.
You would find a button on your camera that says delete. There's no reason to keep pictures in your camera if you've already downloaded them. If you don't want to delete them, your computer software might have a Select & Transfer button. Press that, instead of Transfer All. Then, you could just download the ones you want.
What is Digital medium format camera?
Medium format cameras are generally used by professional photographers, and take film in the 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 inch or 6mm X 7mm formats. A medium format digital camera would have a digital sensor of a size that could use the lenses from cameras designed for those film sizes.
Some medium-format cameras like the Hasselblad have removable backs that can be replaced with a digital back that turns the film camera into a digital. These cameras and film backs typically have sensors from 20 Megapixels to about 50. Needless to say, both the cameras and lenses are wildly expensive. Equally needless to mention, they give incredible results, yielding images that can be enlarged to billboard size.

When was the first camera used in space?
The first TV camera was aboard The Television Infrared Observation Satellite Program (TIROS), launched April 1, 1960.
From http://www.airspacemag.com/space-exploration/FEATURE-FirstPhoto.html
In October, 1946, grainy, black-and-white photos were taken from an altitude of 65 miles by a 35-millimeter motion picture camera riding on a V-2 missile launched from the White Sands Missile Range. The pictures from outside the atmosphere clearly showed our planet set against the blackness of space.
More than 1,000 Earth pictures were returned from V-2s between 1946 and 1950, from altitudes as high as 100 miles.
What does stopping down mean in photography?
The following applies to an SLR and may not apply to a DSLR.
It can mean either:
a) simply reducing the light transmitted to the film or camera sensor by way of adjusting the aperture so that it is smaller.
b) manually reducing the aperture from full-open before taking the picture to either
i) preview the depth of field through the viewfinder or
ii) take a meter reading at the aperture that will be used for the shot in order to arrive at the corresponding shutter speed or
iii) take the shot with the aperture stopped down, forcing the camera meter to calculate the shutter speed at the moment of exposure. The latter two are referred to as stop-down metering. To do so and allow ambient light to enter the viewfinder eyepiece (say, because you mount the camera on a tripod and stand back from the camera) would be a mistake since light entering the eyepiece will alter the meter reading.
One reason for performing stop-down metering is because the lens has been attached to the camera body by means of a reversing ring. In this case, the lens levers and pins cannot transmit the aperture information to the camera in order for the meter to calculate the exposure. Not all cameras have stopped-down metering capability, for sure. My old Canon A1 does, and has a lever controlled metal blind that covers the eyepiece to prevent stray light from entering.
