I have two Brugolin paintings both with tears in their eyes. I found these at a rummage sale in rural Pa. I assumed they were imported paintings sold at some "starving artist" sale. I purchased them because i I was surprised at the quality of the work. I always presumed they had little value.

During the Cold War one of the greatest security dangers were enemy agents who infiltrated Governmental departments and would pass secure materials to their handlers. The "Canary Test" was a method for discovering these "MOLES".

I would aim towards light, fun colors. Light yellows, light greens, and light blues would add fun to the dress, if "fun" is the vibe you want to give off. If coordinating colors is a concern, then light yellow is the way to go.

There are many possibilities.

If your canary is experiencing a moulting season, he or she is likely to be irritated. Moulting feathers is not like a cat losing hair in hot weather, it can actually be rather annoying for a bird, especially smaller ones like canaries.

Sometimes canaries peck if their cage is too small. Your canary is "punishing" you for giving him or her a home that is too small to stretch his/her wings, because s/he is stressed. Make sure you have the correct size cage for the exact species of your canary.

Hormones may also be a factor, especially if your canary is female. Female canaries are much more aggressive than male canaries. They have to be, because they need to protect their nest from predators (and humans are predators to birds). If it is mating season, then hormones may play a part in the reason why you are being pecked.

Your canary might be territorial. It might not like you intruding in his or her personal space. Even though the canary is trained, that doesn't mean she or he wants to be bothered all the time. She or he also wants some time to him/herself.

Sometimes illness is a reason for pecking. The canary might be trying to protect itself because it is already stressed enough. If you notice other symptoms such as lack of appetite, diarrhoea, lethargy, fits or falling off perches, please see a vet.

It's entirely possible that your canary isn't pecking you at all. You might be mistaking something else for pecking. For example, your canary might be showing you affection.

Well, I do know that there is a particular kind of fish that, when the need is really high, a female can change itself into a male (with male genitalia), mate with the female and therefore lay eggs. However, this only suits the question when the transsexual fish is to be considered a female.

They usually don't , If they do there could be many reasons.

Perhaps the mother is not feeding them enough or the father rejects them. It's not abnormal to have one or two babies die out of a clutch of eggs. Some get less nutrition than the rest and die from the others weight crushing them.

If they all die something is really wrong. You may not be supplying the parent birds with the correct foods. No matter how good the mother or father may be at the end of the day they can only feed the youngsters the food you give them. I breed birds and it's something I'm very careful about. Imperial440

Also remember that like all babies, they need to be kept warm and out of drafts. It's very easy for birds to "catch cold" even when they are older.
