Male beard growth is determined mainly by genetics, i.e by hereditary and ethnic factors, but also by nutritional factors. Male hormones are ultimately responsible and there is not much that can generally be done about it, either to speed up or slow down this normal maturing process.
Some young men start to develop facial hair earlier or later than others. If others of the same age and similar parentage have developed facial hair, and beards in particular, and you are male and haven't yet done so, you can either wait a bit longer, or check with your doctor to see if there is any reason for concern.
On rare ocassions a doctor will prescribe certain medications that can correct any hormonal imbalance that may be evident. However, at age 14, many/most male youths will not have beards at all. Some men never have enough facial hair to grow a beard, whilst others can't start doing so until they are in their twenties.
How long can a painted turtles live without eating?
Painted Turtles are semi aquatic. They are happy to swim, but they also need to come out of the water to bask under UVA/UVB light and completely dry off.
Because they do not have saliva, they also need water to eat in or they won't be able to swallow their food.
If you need a basking platform for your turtles to bask on, you can head over to a local pet store and find one or check out an online store for a discounted price.

Snails can sleep for up to two years! Don't worry if you've lost your snail. Just fish around in the gravel a bit and you'll probably find him. he could also hide in any decorations that you have. Or, I hate to say it, but if your fish has a really big mouth, they can sometimes suck snails out of the shells and eat them. my sicence teacher had it happen a few times. But don't worry. If you're snailbegins to float on the water, I'm sorry, but he's gone up to that big fish bowl in the sky. Your snail knows when to wake up and eat, though. Just let him chill for awhile, and make sure he has plenty of algae.
