I support the private servers, first of all they are free, second of all they are different than the actual game and have different rules, monsters, and areas, third of all they all aren't copies. I support the private servers.

1. Yes, they are free. But you do not have the quality GM's that the official servers have. GM's on private servers are not bound by any rules. they do what they want when they want.
2. you might have different models or what not, but if they are not the same as the official servers, then you are not playing the game.
3. If you are not connected with the official servers, they ARE copies.

Ok the way to get money there are two simple ways:
For lower levels:
go to gears university then fight "mega spider" you will gain money overtime
For higher levels:
go to assault mecha in the star captain bar and click options then unscale the fight, next click duel and type 222. this is the I.D. of Judas McPherson fight him over and over he gives good gold and xp.
I use this method and i got 275,000 credits in less than 1/2 an hr by fighting I.D. 222. (i was using advanced wb lvl 30) to see what it did for me type my I.D. in at assualt mecha:2834114 (unscale the fight)

(New) Make sure you're a black belt master in energy sword fighting, get your best sword (or buy one) and go to Planet Romero, kill zombies. They give you 100 exp and 700 credits each. They have about 150 health. Trust me, I'm level 13 (when i edited this answer) and got 52500 credits easy!
