What are the Important aspects of flow measurement and control in wastewater works?
Accurate flow measurement and projection allows engineers to design adequately sized facilities for the transportation (sewers and pumps), storage (basins, ponds, and tanks), and treatment (physical, biological and chemical) of wastwater. Controlling the flows to and from wastewater treatment facilities ensures that various processes work properly.
Constants of methane for Antoine equation?
The Antoine equation for methane looks like: log10(P) = 6.69561 - 405.420 / (T +267.777). P is in mm Hg, T is in degrees C within temperature ranges -181 < T < -152.
How and why did chemical engineering develop?
Chemical engineering evolved from a mixture of craft, mysticism, wrong theories, and empirical guesses. The crafts of soap-making and distillation entered Northern Europe from the Mediterranean in the 12th-14th centuries. But improvements were very slow until the Scientific Revolution of the 17th and 18th centuries. Only then were mystical interpretations replaced by scientific theories: though the early theories were often wrong, they nevertheless played a leading role in stimulating thought. Included here are details of the chemical process engineering developed between 1740 and 1913, in particular alkali production, coal carbonization, sulfuric acid manufacture, agricultural fertilizers, and distillation. The origin of the unit operations approach also is discussed.
How is nusselt number related to prandtl number in heat transfer?
The Nusselt number is proportional to the Prandtl number to the nth power, where n is a positive number less than one.
What should you do if your kerosene flash is increasing in the column?
By flash, it is assumed you mean the amount flashed in the flash zone after entering a column. If the amount flashed is more than you desire, lower the feed temperature. If the feed is some amount of saturated liquid and vapor, you will want to increase the percentage of liquid fed to the column. This applies to a general distillation column with more flash than desired.
If this is a crude oil atmospheric distillation column, and you are getting too much kerosene in a side draw, your cut point probably does not meet the required specification. In this case you will need to adjust your pumparound rates and/or increase the amount of reflux.
Makeup gas compressor spill back valve function?
It is a quick response valve, which opens fully in 1.5-2 seconds. basically will be of fail open type. Its opening depends on the surge control.
The hot plate's temperature is higher than 100°C. That is why the 'steam bubbles' form at the bottom of the pan, then float up to the top. All of the water surrounding the jar is at 100°C. As soon as a quantity of water turns to steam, it's bubble rises to the surface and is released into the surrounding air. The water that's touching the jar has not yet boiled, so it has less than enough energy to cause the water inside the jar to boil.
Why we called as excess molar volume?
There are idealand non-ideal mixtures. In the second case the intermolecular forces between the different molecules of the mixture are less (Positive deviations from Raoult's Law) or more (Negative deviations from Raoult's Law) strong than they are in the pure liquids.
This difference in the intermolecular forces causes a expansion (less strong) or retraction (more strong) of the volume after the mixing, this is the cause of the excess molar volume.
The excess molar volumes VE can be calculated by using measured experimental densities and correlated by the Redlich−Kister type equation.
What equation of state should be used for urea in aspen plus?
I would recommend one of the property methods that can handle electrolytes:
ELECNRTL, ENTRL-HF, ENRTL-HG, or EPNRTL. Read the description at the bottom to determine which of these is the best for your application.
C
Glass is made of silica which is an element, but I'm sure there is more involved in the production of glasses than simply melting silica.
Dry saturated steam is in a semigaseous state?
No.
If you refer to the Temperature/ specific entropy (T - s) diagram for steam, the line segment to the right of the critical point (the point of zero gradient) of the curve is called the dry saturated line and the left segment is the satuated vapour line. As self-explanatory as it sounds, dry saturated steam is on the dry saturated line depending on the given temperature or pressure.
The quality (dryness fraction) on the dry saturated line is by definition 1, that means there is no portion of it as vapour. Hence it is in a fully gaseous state.
Btech chemical under distance jrn rvd university deemed aicte ugc dec approved not?
This question can best be answered by the university itself. All you have to do is make an Indian Postal Order of Rs.10/- in favour of IPO / Registrar JNR RVD University Pratapnagar, Udaipur (Rajasthan) and send this alongwith letter in which you ask the same question and any other relevant information under Right to Information Act. The university has to reply to you with in 30 days. I am sure you will get the best possible information on the issue.
Is there any mathematical relationship for the effect of temperature on hydrocarbon density?
With increase in temperature , the density of fluids decreases and their vapour pressure increases. There's no direct relationship for temp-density of HYdrocarbons. But temperature and density are inversely proportional and the constant of proportionality varies from fluid to fluid. For hydrocarbons that constant can be calculated keeping in mind its VP, boiling point at ambient conditions and its constituents.
What is octylacrylamideacrylates butylaminoethyl?
This is an ingredient in many cosmetic hair care products such as volumizing gels, shampoos, and volumizing and holding hair sprays. For specific chemical studies and health and safety outcomes, etc. see the links to US Government sites listed with this answer. The formula and purposes in specific brand name products is proprietary. It is also known as tert-Octylacrylamide, methyl methacrylate, acrylic acid, hydroxypropyl methacrylate, and tert-butylaminoethyl methacrylate polymer.
The effect of impurity a freezing point of substance?
in polar substances, such as water, ionic impurities usually decrease the freezing point, requiring a lower temperature since bonds between molecules (intermolecular bonding) are disrupted more and more at higher salt concentrations. Organic substances also expereinece a decreaesed melting point when impure, due to one substance dissolving the other and vice versa. In general, freezing points are decreased by impurities if the impurities are miscible in the substance.
How capillary thermostat works?
The capillary thermostat has a capillary tube which is usually filled with a refrigerant which usually contracts or expands due to temperature. As the temperature expands this liquid and in turn this pressure presses against a bellows that pushes against a switch , the switch closes and the refrigerator runs until the capillary cools enough to decrease the pressure and the opposite happens.
What is the average salary for a professional softball player?
The average is around $5,250 a season. Keri LeMaster signed a contract for $24,000 for two years. Not much at all when you size it up next to the men. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1318/is_4_53/ai_54175735 That is the website where I found the answer.
How do you get the evaporator out of a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500?
Is this a pickup or a van?
The last Dodge pickup I had to change the evaporator on was a 2000, so maybe it's the same.
1-Evacuate the system.
2-Pull the A-Pillars off. These are in front of the driver's and passenger's side windows. Disconnect any electrical connectors.
3-Remove the kick panels. These are down low forward of the front doors. Disconnect any electrical connectors.
4-Remove the center console, if equipped. Disconnect any electrical connectors.
5-Disconnect wiring connector from blower motor. If there's a green and/or red wire at this connector, push the terminal out of the connector and cut any tape along that wire(s) that you can see.
6-Clamp off and remove heater hoses at connection near firewall (underhood.)
7-Disconnect AC line quick connects near firewall underhood.
8-Remove the 6 to 8 dashboard mounting bolts that are exposed after removing kick panels and center console.
9-Tile dashboard back and remove from vehicle. Two people are required, unles you want to rip upholstery.
10-Remove 5 fasteners on underhood side and three fasteners on interior side holding the HVAC case to the firewall.
11-Disconnect electrical connectors as needed.
12-Remove case from vehicle.
13-Remove several screws.
14-Split halves of case.
15-Pull the core out. Note that if you purchased a non-Mopar core, it doesn't look quite like the one you just pulled out of your truck and won't fit in the same place.
