Disconnect the battery. First you need to remove the lock cylinder. To remove it, with the key in the ignition, you will need to insert a pin in the small hole on the lock cylinder to release it, I usually use the end of a paperclip. Once it is released, it should turn counter-clockwise past the accessory position and slide out. You will notice the retaining ring around the switch has three slots cut into it. Use a flat screwdriver and gently tap it to turn the retaining ring counter-clockwise... It's basically a nut. You can pull it out from behind the dash. Unhook the tabs on the plug and unplug it. Plug the new one in, slide it back through the hole, install and tighten the retainer nut. The lock cylinder should just slide right in in the same position it came out. Once it's in, simply turn it to the off position and you are done. Re-connect the battery.

pull the wire off of it and then get your wrench or socket and unbolt the sensor and install the new one.

Depends on which 350 it has. One has about 240 hp and another engine offered in 71 was a 270 horsepower 350. With an exhuast and the mild cam I would place it give or take around 20-25 hp more than the original stats. Headers would be a big gain with the aftermarket exhaust.

it on the steering column. originally a rod from shifter connected to column and moved it like the automatic and made connection to light backup lamps. Hurst sells a switch that connects to the shifter operated by reverse rod and connects to originall wires under dash (Green and Pink I think) if you tap onto them your lights should work fine.

take the wires off the + and - side of the coil, pull the coil wire out of the coil, unbolt the coil from the manifold, to install just reverse directions.

A frame from ANY '68-72 GM A body convertible will fit because they all use the same frame. I'd stick to the convertible frames because they are reinforced to deal with the lack of a permanent roof.

door panel will have to come off and more than likely the motor has rivets holding it in place so the complete window regulator will have to be taken out of the door and the rivets drilled out to get the motor off and then reinstall new motor with bolts and nuts.

Your best bet is to have someone do it for you. But if you insist then I insist that you buy a Haynes manual.

lube the end of the dipstick and use a rubber hammer and pound it down into the oil pan.

hoist up into place and tighten down the 2 gas tank straps to hold the tank in place, hook up the hot wire to the fuel sending unit and ground wire to the car body and then install the fuel line to the tank and your done.

You can find the VIN number on the frame at the steering head.

When you go with an aftermarket ignition system, you should follow the recommendations of the manufacturer. MSD is a business that is well known for helping people use their products correctly. They have a website and a telephone tech line ready to serve you.

If you just need to get it running until you can contact MSD, set the plug gap at .035". That's close enough.

You can't remove it. It is molded in as part of the dash itself. Only the door can be removed.

The 2 speed Powerglide was the only automatic trans available for the Chevelle in 1965.
