If the car is an automatic, and the transmission is not functioning properly or requires a fluid change can also cause a hot temp.

Hi my name is jeff, on my 1985 corvette there is a little black box about the size of my hand with several wires going in2 it. this box is located on the passanger side by the ecm...i believe if you just unplug it that it will not effect anything else but the little light that says security when the door is open...on another note if you jiggle the key back and fourth really fast from the accesory on to start position wile the alarm is going of.. it starts!!!!!!!! that is on mine anyways lol

Disconnent your negative battery cable, carefully pull the old one out, put a little lube on the new one and insert it. Reconnect the negative battery cable. If you are replacing the battery only and the cables are fine:
First things first... Disconnect the battery. Positive first and then negative.
Remove the retainer plate which is to the rear of the battery inside the car's battery cavity located behind the drivers seat. You will need a 9/16" (I believe) socket and an extension to remove the retainer.
The tricky part is that you cannot see the bolt but it is in the center of the battery body to the rear side. A little more tricky getting it back in than removing it initially.
Remove the bolt. The long bolt and retainer can then come out. Remove the old battery and replace with the new one. Attach the positive cable first (It is a side post and will be marked) and then the negative.
YOURE DONE! Total time... Less than 5 minutes...

tumblers are merely brass pins. go to any hardware store & purchase a small tube of graphite lubricant. it is a dry lube - do not use oil as it will make your tumblers gum up over time. simply squirt a small amount of graphite into the lock, then insert and remove the key a few times. if this does not free the tumbler, using a very fine pick or perhaps another key with a different cut, attempt to push the tumbler further into it's hole. once some of the graphite works its way into the hole, the tumbler will pop up like normal.

I have 95 Trans Am with a LT1 corvette motor. The heater inside the car does not heat very well. I was told I could have some air in the system. Thermostat is new.Heater core hoses seem warm not hot . 90-110 using thermal gun on the out side of hoses.Back of heater core showed 115 deg. Should heater core be back flushed? Any ideas on how to get more heat to the driving area?
