Where can you find Ron Fellows Corvette diecast?
also
A friend of mine has several of the Corvettes from a few years back, he collects and sells alot of diecast cars. He has the Raced Version of the Corvette, MIGHT have an unraced version. The raced one is the one that looks like it has dirt on it, the unraced version looks clean. 1:18th scale - Action Die Cast is manuf. Raced version he wants $50, unraced if he has any would be $60. (plus s&H) If you're interested I will make an eBay action for my friend so that you can feel more secure in your transaction since we don't know each other, and send you the link. He also has the Earnhardt corvettes as well for $80. He's a big race car guy, but much older and not into computers so he has never explored the eBay world haha! Let me know if you want any of these and we will set something up.
It helps to know make and model of any car as most have a weak spot or something that is the usual cause of a given problem. Turning over slow=bad connection, starter. Plugs, are you getting spark at the plugs? carb. or injected? Timing belt? Timing. If injected are they firing? Lots of things could be wrong, need to know what kind of car. But I posted this in the Daewoo Matiz section!! Anyway thanks for coming back. The car is a '00 Matiz with M100 engine, I've just finished doing the head gasket and new piston rings too. I have everything back now and expected it to start but its not firing at all. The plugs are almost new and the timing belt is new and double double checked at this stage. When I turn the engine over it turns on the starter as normal for 2 or 3 turns but then fades badly for a split second, comes back and does it over and over again. I've cleaned the points in the cap and the rotor arm too. If I disconnect the leads from the plugs the hesitating turnover problem goes away and it turns like you'd expect, just doesnt fire, plugs connected again and its doing this jekyll and hyde turnover thing again. I suspect the battery but have tried jumping and the engine only turned even faster but didnt start.
Where could one purchase a second hand 1973 Corvette?
The Chevrolet Corvette is a sports car produced in seven generations, each with its title beginning with C and the version or generation number. The ever popular C3 was made between 1968-1982, also called the Corvette Stingray. Purchasing one can be done by sourcing Hobbycarcorvettes or Qldcorvetteclub to name a few.
Why do all the interior lights work except the courtesy lights on a 1977 Chevrolet Corvette?
Usually the problem is due to a bad ground as the car is mostly fiberglass. Also check the bulbs.
How do you keep open headlight 88 Corvette?
Turn the headlights on the whole way, then push the headlight knob back in, leaving the parking lights still lit. This will hold the headlights up, without having them turned on.
Do you win anything if 3 of your numbers match the lottory?
No! But I live in Canada so it may be different elsewhere.
1987 Corvette headlights won't go down?
Important to know the yr model to give the right answer....
84 to 87 if motors are running but the doors are slipping or weak, the gears are likely stripped and must be replaced. Bought at ANY corvette store, shop or online, ebay. If no motor activity the relays may be bad. 3 relays located in the driver side wheel well under a black box/cover. Replace all 3 together and seal out water with silicone grease.
88 and up used nylon dowels as shock absorbers to help save the gears from wearing early. 88 and up also used a control module and NOT relays.
How do you determine whether a 1986 corvette is a early production car or late poduction car?
cast into the top rear of the block is a four-symbol code indicating when the engine was built
On corvette 1974 - both windows suddenly did not work-is it a fuse problem?
The power to the window relay comes from the fuse panel. The relay should be under the shift console, left side, after you remove the small access panel. The didn't make these things easy to get to. Losing power to both windows probably means a loose of power at the fuse panel. The wire plugs in right above where you use your foot to operate the dimmer switch. To do any electrical testing you really should have basic test tools and a basic knowledge of 12 volt electrical systems.
Check the wires going thru the drivers door for fraying . Using a 12v tester, check the power going to the master switch at the drivers door. The circuit breaker for your power windows should reset as long as there isn't a dead short.I hope this helps you. Mark Thanks for helping Mark, you look like to have some electrical knowledge that I don't. I do not have a 12v tester to operate as you mentioned. Could you tell me where on the fuse panel is the one for the power windows (location)? I would appreciate. Access to read is not easy and with a flash light I could bearely read them. I could not find any abrevation close to power windows or related to. All looks not melted. Maybe there is a relay too to check or change? where is the location?. Appreciate your help. Eric
What is normal water temperature for 1994 Corvette?

How do you Remove ignition lock on a 75 Corvette with tilt and telescoping steering?
You need to buy a set screw from your local hardware store. The size on my 1985 corvette was 5/16 - 18 I believe. This set screw is a bolt with no head and it takes an Allen key to tighten. This will lock the shaft in the column so that the steering wheel puller will allow you to remove the steering wheel from the shaft and it will allow the lock plate compressor to compress the lock plate so that the retaining snap ring may be removed. The snap ring can be a pain I ususally use two small flat head screw drivers. Once past the steering wheel, and lock plate, three screws are required to be removed to move the turn signal switch, also it is best to take out the screw that holds on the turn signal arm and move it out of the way. The lock and tumbler is held in with one bolt usually and it is either a star or Allen.
All pretty straight forward once you get the set screw. If you notice, the mechanism that normally locks the telescoping steering column just has basically a bolt that threads in to lock the shaft in place.
Hi can you tell you if the 1975 Corvette L48 had aluminum heads and and if it was a four bolt main?
The 1975 L48 Corvette engine was the "base" engine and never was offered with aluminum heads or a 4-bolt main block from the factory. The L82, offered in 1975 had 4-bolt mains but still only had cast iron heads.
The L82 engine has more horse power than the L48. It also has 4 bolt mains, instead of 2 bolt mains, different cam, intake, carb, exhaust manifolds, and a number of other things where different between the two engines over the years. The biggest way to tell the difference is when you fire up a L82 it will sound like a solid lifter motor, where the L48 wont. The L82 is a looser motor which means it can handle higher RPM, the biggest problem with L82's is if they are not maintained with good oil, and service correctly you will blow it up alot easier than a L48. How do you remove the gas tank on a 1972 corvette?
Empty gas from tank. Jack the rear up high enough to allow room to get the tank out from under the car. Remove spare tire and soak all nuts holding tank straps with penetrating oil, Very carefully loosen strap nuts, remove straps and lower tank.
As the tank is being lowered take caution, there are several fuel lines that must be disconnected at this point. One on the drivers side and two on the passengers side.
What temp should your 86 blazer with a 350 operate at?
Between 180 and 195 degrees is the safe range.
The C-5 introduced in 1997 is still an engineering marvel, and the newer C-6 being sold now has a lot of improvements. If you are considering buying a used C-5, they had most of the bugs out by 2001.
A good answerThe best Corvette is the last one that rolled off the assembly line.
The right Answerthe corvette zr1 is the fastest and best all around corvette.
Leave it to a specialist to answer this oneIf you have never heard of Gordon Killebrew, you don't know Corvettes. You can Google him and learn who he is. He was inducted into the Corvette Hall of Fame in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2007.
I was at a Killebrew seminar a couple of years ago at Mid-America Funfest. Gordon gives free seminars there. Someone stood up and asked him what the best Corvette was. He said that he has been asked that many times and his answer is always the same. He said "The best Corvette made was the last one to leave the assembly line". The reason is that improvements are continually being made and each Corvette that rolls off the line is better than the one before it.
This is a fair and un-biased answer to this question. To say that any specific model, ZR1, Z06, Grand Sport, or whatever, is better that the others is simply ones opinion. Gordon's answer is a fact.
