The heated coolant from the engine comes out of the fitting nearest the thermostat, then enters the lower heater hose nipple (or the smaller of the two nipples) then the coolant comes out of the heater and returns into the fitting on the water pump. All fittings and hoses attached to the water pump are return lines.

Remove the oil pan by removing all the bolts. Then you will probably have to scrap the old gasket off.

If your talking about the frunk or front trunk, there is a side latch inside the car on the left under the steering column. If you talking about the deck lid in the middle of the car (where the motor is) there is another side latch on the driver's side of the car behind the driver seat.

no place has them, you will have to rebuild the springs yourself or get traction bars from summit racing or Jeggs.

It should be built in the alternator. Ask auto parts.

Check on the firewall near the coil. the voltage regulator is internal with the ecu for this model truck...if you, like me, have had yours go bad (internally) you can optionally use an external regulator from your parts store, just ask them if they carry a vr32 or a vr1...both of which should work

yes but you have to do numerous other stuff like wire reverse lights to the tranny. change the driveline, and add clutch pedal, there is a write up how to do it if you search s13 5 speed swap.

First off, you will need a timing light. Hook it up to the battery, and the inductive lead on the plug wire that runs to the front spark plug. This is cylinder number 1. Follow the fan belt to the bootom, or lowest pulley, it goes around. This is your crankshaft pulley. The pulley bolts to the harmonic balancer. Looking down there, you will see a tab sticking out of the timing cover, that seems to somewhat shield the balancer. It will have numbers on it. 2, 4, and maybe even 6. On the corresponding surface of the balancer, you will see a slot, or groove. Mark this groove with chalk, or white paint. Now, on the distributor, where all the spark plug wires come out, at the base, you will see a bolt. 1/2 inch, I think. Slightly loosen this bolt, so that you can turn the distributor, but barely. I would use your paint or chalk to mark where the distributor is now, by making a line that runs from the base of the distributor, to the block, so you know where you started. There will be a black vaccuum hose coming out of a silver diaphragm, on the side. Pull this hose off, and put a pencil in it to plug it off, other wise you will have a vaccuum leak, and thus a false reading. The reason you are pulling this off, is because it controls the vaccuum advance, and left connected, again, you will get a false reading. Now, start the car up, and remembering that the fan, will now be turning, from the driver side, pull the trigger on the light, and shine it down toward that tab ssticking out. You will need a semi dark area, to see the light. Where ever that whoite mark on the balancer sahows up on the tab, that is the number of degrees timing. Have as friend turn the distributor slightly, back and forth, while you watch with the light. You will see what is happening. You should set the timing at about 4, to 6 degrees advanced, or BTDC. Remember to tighten the dist., back up, and re connect the vaccuum hose.

A diagram of the 1971 Chevy Nova steering column would include the ignition and the shifter information along with the steering column itself. This type of diagram is often found in the Chilton's manual for the year and model.

Drain the coolant, remove the distributor, disconnect all plumbing, remove carb, unbolt the manifold.

They are usually stuck pretty tight, so you will probably have to get a screwdriver in there to pry it off the heads. Be careful not to damage the gasket mating surface.
