Psychologists work in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals, schools and within the justice system. They do therapy, testing, evaluation, consultation, teaching, research , depending on where they work and their specific job requirements. Is child support increased if a child wants to live only with the custodial parent?
It doesn't matter what the child wants. It only matters what the court decides is in the best interests of the child. If it is found that awarding sole legal and physical custody of a child to one parent is in his or her best interests, child support may be increased accordingly.
You didn't read what you were signing?
Do parents have the right to sue on behalf of their unborn child against the Federal government?
for what?
Yes. The payments should be turned over to the person who has legal custody. Child support should have been addressed at the time the guardianship was granted to the grandparent. If that was not done, the child's father needs to go to court to have the support order modified so he can pay the grandparent. If that happens you may be required to pay back any money you accepted when the child was not in your custody. You should review the court order that transferred legal guardianship to the grandparent. If you still have questions you should visit the family court and ask to speak with an advocate. You need to avoid future problems that may arise if you spend child support that you are not entitled to receive.

If dss gives you temp custodey of a child can you make them pay child support?
DSS might have funds available for the child (but not child support, per se - that's the parents' responsibility).
Go to court dressed and groomed appropriately, poise yourself as if you are an attorney, and ask the judge to implore the father to provide PROOF of income. Some judges will; some won't. It will help if you can provide proof to the judge of him recently spending money on things like new vehicles, boats, motorcycles, buying a house, taking an extended and expensive vacation, etc. Good luck!

If there is a legitimate reason, such as unemployment, the obligate can still file for a reduction in them. Most Child Support obligates do not know there is free help from the state, by federal law, to obtain a modification. At the minimum, a motion should be filed to have any interest penalties set aside, which can double or triple the amount owed. Of the total media "reported" amount of child support owed, 83% if interest penalties and not unpaid child support.
In general, child support is a percentage of one's net income - the lower the income, the lower the child support. However, unearned income such as unemployment compensation is also considered available to pay support.
