I have a set of this china. It was passed down to me by my great grandmother, so it is from the 1940's most likely. I am guessing that it is not worth much since it is not mentioned on the collector's websites.

Every piece I have, while in excellent shape otherwise, has cracked glaze. I will likely save a larger piece for display and sentimental value, then part with the rest of it.

Calling the Chinese cowards is a bit over doing it. China had no industry or money basically to fight in any kind of war. When they where invaded by Japan they didn't act cowardly but actually quite heroicly by holding of the vastly superior and outnumbering Japanese forces and held on all the way too the end of the war.

On December 9, 1937 the Japanes army captured the City of Nanking which at that time was the Capital City of the Republic of China. For the next 6 weeks the Japanese army went sacked the city. Hundreds of thousands of people were murdered, and many of the surviving women and even young girls were raped. Much of the city was plundered.and burned.
