Choppers and Custom Motorcycles

It is a Chinese made 49cc or 98cc motor.

They are based on the Honda Z50 and upwards motors, but they are not identical,

although very similar.

Pagsta Motors are unfortunately not interchangeable with many of the cheaper Chinese pitbike motors due to the individual offset of the rear sprocket.

All BMW's(except cross country), some Honda touring bikes, the Suzuki Boulevard (and the Volusia before it) and the Yamaha V Star. I bet there are others, too. Kawasaki cruisers, Ural, some Moto Guzzi. A 1953 Sunbeam 350cc is the earliest I can remember.... Triumph, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasai, and Yamaha, have produced shaft drive motorcycles Motorcycle engines positioned such that the crankshaft is longitudinal and parallel to the frame are often used for shaft driven motorcycles. This requires only one 90° turn in power transmission, rather than two. Moto Guzzi, BMW, Triumph, and Honda use this engine layout. Motorcycles with shaft drive are subject to shaft effect where the chassis climbs when power is applied. This is counteracted with systems such as BMW's Paralever, Moto Guzzi's CARC and Kawasaki's Tetralever.

small resessed Allen plug on the right side of the tranny if its a left sided drive. it will be between to bolts that hold the plate on it looks a bit different then any other of the bolts

The filter you require is a z40 and if for some reason you cant get one a z24 will also fit it is just a little longer.

the gap on a spark plug for a 110 should be 024-.028.

I have two diagrams one is label 4_wire_horizontal_electric_start_wiring_diagram and the second is called 5_wire_horizontal_engine_wiring_diagram, both are in jpg format. I have the same mini chopper, we eliminated everything except the headlight and starter switch and these drawings were a tremendous help. If you run across any guides on it, I'd like a copy of one.

1. Raise Motorcycle so front wheel is just raised off the ground.

2. Inspect wheel bearing end play and service bearings if necessary.

3. Remove brake caliper. Support caliper using a rubber bungee cord.

NOTE

Do not operate front brake lever with the front wheel removed

or the caliper piston may be forced out of piston bore. Reseating

the piston requires disassembly of the caliper.

4. Remove axle nut, lockwasher and washer.

5. Loosen the slider cap screws and pull the axle free.

6. Remove wheel from forks.

Many websites sell the Ultimate Chopper. A reliable source of it would be Amazon, but there are many online shops specializing in products sold from television commercials.

Mild Steel is an excellent choice of material for use in the construction of space-frames for any vehicle, motorcycles in particular due to the minimal amount required. You'll find that most motorcycle frames are constructed from Steel. It is practically an industrial standard! Steel is incredibly strong when braced correctly, yet it is able to flex slightly, which prevents metal-fatigue in small space-frames. Also, holes can be cut or drilled in it in order to keep weight down without compromising the strength of the frame; it's easy to cut & weld and it can be machined to a high degree of accuracy (for components such as the headstock. Not only is Mild Steel reasonable for use in frame construction... it is ideal!

you have to take off your primary cover and disconnect your jackshaft then usually there are only two bolts holding it to the inner primary remember to disconnect your battery before you start this job

If you have to ask you can't afford it. I have a full out custom 2004 Texas Chopper that listed for $39900 and paid $32400 new.

You buy a service manual and study it very carefully. It's worth it, cost is about $30.

If your reffering to the motor oil (oil tank oil) then depending on your local climate, you would either run 10W-40, or 20W-50..

during the fall, or spring, when it`s say, less then 60F, you would probley want to run 10W-40....when it starts averaging 70F+, switch the the 20W-50..

this would be considering your working with a fairly tight motor..if it`s a high mileage motor, go ahead and run 20W-50 even in the fall and spring, and you may want to consider going to a striaght 50, or 60 during hot summer months..

Rev tech is very good oil, but something a little cheaper, which is what I usually run, is castrol GTX 20W-50...

the transmission, uses "primary" oil, as it shares the oil with the primary, which includes the clutches..so be sure to get actuall "primary" oil for the tranny/primary..other wise, you run the risk of slipping clutches...
