He can, since there is no legality involved. However, life and expectations are so much better if the man has his final divorce decree before making such a commitment to someone else. The period during and for awhile after divorce can be an emotional roller coaster.

What is the penalty for false marriage of an illegal immigrant?
It depends, if it is one person committing it, it is usually not even enforced, especially if it's a female. If there is an illegal immigration ring, then there is possible prison time, fines, deportation, etc. Immigration fraud can be reported to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), a division of Homeland Security. If you give a few more details, maybe I can be more specific.

Does shoplifting affect you applying for citizenship?
if at the time of the incident, the police was involved then it will be in your CRB for life. when you apply for British citizenship, a CRB cheque is done to cheque your records, the spent and non spent ones, and of coues the incident of shoplifting, but then, depends on how old where you at the time, the value of the theft items, where are you from, wethere you did it again after that or not....
Personally, I was caught shoplifting in 2006, and applied for indefinit stay to remain in the UK in 2010 and I got it, also I worked in various places involving money and confidentiality and had no problems at all. last month I applied for the British Citizenship, I am a bit worried but just hopping that I will get a good news to carry on with my life. I will update you with the result for my application ans at the main time all what I can say is that if you want to be fixed and really have the 100% correct answer for your question then you have to try it your self and hope for the best, and in case the worst happen then just be strong enough to not give up and continue in life and take it as if there is a price for everything in life, and when the worse hapends then is is just the price for the stupide thing that we done in the past which is nothing else than shopliffting.
good luck,....xxx
Can a non citizen divorce a US citizen and stay in the US?
Yes a non resident alien can seek divorce from US Citizen. It is actually to their advantage as they can short cut residency requirement by applying for domestic violence thru the Dept of Homeland Security. If found victim of domestic violence either by physical or mental abuse residency is granted. All that's needed is simply a claim in most cases.
Yes, in addition to being an illegal immigran and subject to expulsion. They would become a bigamist, subject to criminal prosecution and quite possibly a jail sentence.
A foreigner who marries a Mexican doesn't automatically get Mexican nationality, but they can apply for Mexican nationality after only 2 years instead of waiting longer. For example, a foreigner (not married to a Mexican) who applies for Mexican nationality on the basis of Mexican residence has to wait 5 years.
Can a green card holder get citizenship with a felony?
Yes you can,But depending on the crime you might be denied a renewal. In 1996 Immigration laws changed felons who hold a valid Greencard up for renewal can have their Greencard taken away and deported. The law is retroactive,Meaning crimes that were commited prior to 1996 are now reviewed and Immigration decides if you stay in the U.S or are deported. Aggravated crimes(Drugs,Murder,Assault.Robbery and Violent crimes)are grounds for imediate removal regardless of how long ago they were commited. Can a church sponsor an illegal immigrant?
The license to preach is a call from God and only He can anoint us with His truth. A piece of paper has no value unless God has ordained you by His Spirit, where the elders set you in your ministry as they are led of the Spirit. How can one preach the truth without obeying the scriptures which state, that we must obey the law of the land.
Can you divorce your American husband if you get married in Philippines?
No, the first step of going to US for marriage will be difficult like applying for a Fiance VISA the National Statistic Office will not issue the certificate of singleness which is a requirement in the US embassy. And in an instance that one goes to US without processing the Fiance VISA (assuming one has an existing approved US VISA), the marriage license will be filed in the Phil. embassy which can trace the existing marriage in PH. But anyway I would suggest to settle your marriage in PH first.
What is an example of citizenship?
An example of citizenship are by obeying laws, paying taxes, serving in the armed forces if called, and serving on a jury or as a witness in court
How does an American citizen marry her British boyfriend?
I married my American girlfriend by just coming to the USA and getting married. That's what my lawyer told me to do, it's the quickest way, then file for work permit etc.Work permit wait was 6 months.Green card was another 4 months, After two years of marriage file I-751 then permanant resident status with no restrictions.Make sure your passport has plenty of time left bring birth cert all schools qualifications.Welcome to America.
You can do the above, sure, but it is frowned upon, and wont always work. There have been cases where a UK citizen has gone to the US on the I-94 visa waiver from, got married to their partner, and applied for Adjustment of Status (AOS), and stayed in the US. Yes it is the quickest route, but it is far better legally to go the K1 or K3 visa route. Generally for AOS, you will need to prove WITHOUT DOUBT that you did not enter the US intending to marry, and that it was a spur of the moment thing. In some cases, your passport will be stamped with 'no AOS' upon your entry to the US, especailly if you mention a US Citizen boyfriend (and have a wedding dress with you!). The authorities do not really like this method, and seeing as the AOS would be only the first small step to legal permanent residence, it is best to do things 'by the book;, even though there will be a longer wait (generally 6 monthsish) and time appart sucks, it will set you up better in the long run. You can do it..but I wouldn't recommend it.
You can still travel to the US on an I-94 whilst the visa is being processed to visit your bf.
The below link has many postings on the pitfalls of this, and is a great site for any UK citizen who is planning on marrying their American partner and living in the US:

How can you find out if someone is married in Mexico?
The county (or city) they were married in website (court records) would have that information but not all cities or towns have websites. In that case you would have to pay an investigator in that town to physically go to the courthouse and search the records.
I am in the same situation. My fiance was here and left voluntarily and although USCIS approved my petition for a K1 visa, they denied his visa for having been in the US for over a year so they banned him for 10 years with a denial of obtaining any waiver or pardon until he completes the 10 year ban. It doesn't matter if you have hardships they won't allow you to waiver that decision which is the form I-601. I asked lawyers if there was anything I could do and they said no, I even contacted the consular office in Mexico and they told me the same thing, I keep hitting a brick wall. So basically as far as I've been told so far, there is nothing we can do until he completes the years he is given then maybe you can petition him/her again.
Can a US citizen marry an illegal alien whose visa has expired?
NO
need more details to answer this question. specify what kind of non immigrant visa are your talking about.
YES. If you do NOT have a valid visa to remain in the US, that alone is grounds for deportation. Given that the US does not currently keep track of whose visas have expired, however, there is some time leeway to find a solution to the problem of not having a valid residency visa. However, if you run afoul of law enforcement in any manner, and they bother to check your immigrant status, you can be deported solely for lack of a visa, even if you are never charged (let alone convicted) of any crime. Lack of a proper visa is itself a crime.
Recent changes by the Department of Justice allow for a non-citizen spouse of a US citizen to apply for a permanent resident visa EVEN IF THEIR CURRENT VISA HAS EXPIRED OR THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY. Once this application is made, the non-citizen does not have to leave the country while the application is being processed, and cannot be deported solely for lack of a valid visa. The non-citizen spouse will have to return to their home country to pick up the actual visa once it is granted, since they will need to re-enter the country on a valid visa to register that they are here legally.
Essentially, the new process is thus for the non-citizen spouse:
What is the difference between Immigration and Citizenship?
Citizenship means that a person is a citizen of a country with certain rights and responsibilities. Residency means that a person is a resident of a country but not a citizen. Different countries have different laws, but foreign residents in the US must have a green card. They may renew the green card annually, or become US citizens, or return to their own country.
How does the US feel about immigration?
It depends on who you ask. Some Americans believe that everyone should have the chance to be an American. Other people believe that there are enough people in the country.
