Actually the question would be, "Who were the shooters at Columbine High School?" Only because there were two shooters who were also seniors at the high shcool, their names were Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold.

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were 2 high school kids that went to Columbine High. They were the "shooters" of The Columbine High School Massacre, killing 12 students, 1 teacher and themselves (they committed suicide). Eric was 18 and Dylan was 17 at the time of the shooting.

The two shooters, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, were exposed to alot of violence as children. Klebold was a typical underachieving, depressed teen who hated and blamed himself more than he hated or blamed others. Harris was a psychopath who would have eventually, on his own, wreaked havoc on the world he hated and the stupid, worthless people who inhabited it; he enjoyed hating, he enjoyed demeaning, and he enjoyed the idea of inflicting pain and suffering on others. Harris was also an adept liar. His friends and classmates reported that he lied about anything and everything. He enjoyed lying as much as he enjoyed hating and knew that it gave him an advantage. Authorities have gained a lot of insight into these personalities since their deaths because they not only left behind their websites and videos, but also journals chronicling their true feelings.

On April 20th, 1999, two disgruntled students - Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris - entered Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado and began shooting in a discriminatory and non-discriminatory fashion at students and teachers (some people were targeted, others were not). They roamed the halls for over 30 minutes until the thrill was gone from killing. They then retreated to the cafeteria and committed suicide together.

After the fact, Klebold and Harris had shot and killed 12 students and 1 teacher, raising the death tally to 15 (including themselves). America was shocked that two 12th grade boys could commit such a horrendous mass killing, at a school of all places. Officials wanted to know "why?", and to this day, there are no real answers - only speculation and educated guesses. Most are satisfied with the notion that Klebold and Harris had been social outcasts during most of their high school lives, and may have had mental health issues. Others say that they had been bullied - especially by jocks. Jocks were targeted by the duo during the massacre, easily identified by their white caps.

We won't ever really know, though - the two didn't leave detailed notes about the massacre and kept to themselves.

None, really.. Eric and Dylan were Rivet-heads (aka fans of German industrial bands) and Rivet-heads are not a common teen subculture.. They are not goths, nerds, or jocks..

I have contacted the Rocky Mountain News newspaper about this. If they give me any good info I'll change this answer. Yes. Elephant by Van Gus Sant was inspired by Columbine but there are some differences in the events. Such as the boys actions in the shower scene, Eric and Dylan were straight. How one killer was below average intelligence. And a few more I can't think of right now but yeah. :))) have a good day!
