What is the difference between USB and FireWire?

FireWire has a higher transfer rate than USB, making it more suitable for video transfer and connecting external storage. USB is host-based, meaningit must have a host computer to transfer data to / from (with a few exceptions). FireWire devices can transfer data between themselves directly without the need for a computer host. FireWire supports fewer devices connected together (63, vs. 127 for USB).

How do you format a memorex travel drive when windows is unable to format it?

Good Day, To reformat a Memorex Travel Drive, simply open Computer Management by right-clicking the My Computer icon and choosing Manager. Go to Disk Management while your Travel Drive is plugged into a USB port. Next select your USB disk by scrolling up and down the list of drives. Be careful to only select the USB drive by verifying its capacity. You will then need to right-click the USB drive and choose Partition. Be sure to specify the correct size allocation. You will finally be able to format the drive after you first partition it. I formated my Travel Drive under FAT32, which is accessable under Windows XP. Regards,

How many bytes are there in 435GB HD?

Hard disk manufacturers all use the definition of gigabyte to mean 1,000,000,000 bytes, as opposed to the more precise definition of gigabyte as 1,073,741,824 bytes, or 10243

For more details about this discrepancy, see the wikipedia article linked below. Suffice it to say that 1 billion times 435 is 435 billion. So a 435 GB hard disk would have 435,000,000,000 bytes.

You may be able to use a Picc Stat Lock, or even a Foley Stat Lock.

ETA: Not sure what kind of Hickman you have but if it has suture wings, a PICC Plus StatLock may work. Other Hickman lines have Silastic cuffs so they will graft in place anyway and don't have suture wings. As for where to acquire, I would recommend contacting whoever provides your catheter maintenance supplies.
