only increasing the RAM will not improve the Performance of the PC. Increasing the Ram will help the system with little more space for opening the temporary files in the Memory. This improves the Stability & not the Speed. Performance is something based on the BUS speed of Processor, Ram, Motherboard & Hard Disk. (Performance is a combination of all the above.)

they're all different. each cable has it's own name. the big fat cable is an IDE cable,
the cables coming from the power supply are power cables, the super small 3 pin connector cables are fan power/control cables.

a clock cycle is how long it take for the computer to complete one clock. this is different to every processor due to different speeds, single-, duel-, multi- and quad-cores, hyperthreadding etc.

Before you do it, make sure you check to see if all other hardware is compatible with i7. Also make sure that your laptop has enough power to run i7. Or you might have to change to a more powerful power source. If you have a Battery designed for low power consumption, you will experience Battery drain.

your better off getting the 52x cd's. These numbers are how fast the disc can be written onto, so the more the number, the faster the disc records onto.

You can either purchase a quieter fan and install that, or not use applications that require a lot of the CPU.

clean it! if the fan is not working efficiently it will not cool the CPU.

clean it - take the side panel off and remove any debris, dust etc

clean it - run scan disk, run defrag, run a program to clean up the registry

remove any programs you are not using or save them to CD.

run defrag again.

your PC will run more efficiently and the fan will not have to work so hard.

You'll see a black screen. It will ask you to load into an operating system. For example if you have 2 xp os, it will display 1. c:\windows and 2 d:\windows. You'll have to press the number and press enter. You'll be required to type the administrator password. If there is none, just leave it blank and press enter.

You can do lots of stuffs from the recovery console in windows xp (coz there is no more recovery console in vista and windows 7). For one thing, you can do check disk, you can also do system restore.

If you are new to computers then this will help you install and upgrade stuff on your computer greatly and it will prevent you from damaging anything. Computer parts are very expensive, you don't want to mess anything up!

The maximum "safe" operating temperature is 90 degrees Celsius. however, it should be well below this for the most part. most run from about 40 degrees idle to mid to high 80s under load. This depends on how you mean the question. When fragmentation occurs, the solution would be to run defragmentation software.

If you want to reduce fragmentation from happening, there are a number of workarounds. One would be to schedule defragmentation or to use software that constantly defragments in the background when no user activity is detected. Another workaround would be to divide the hard drive in partitions and edit the registry to point all the temp files and cache files to it. That would not reduce the defragmention, but it would be faster since all the worst fragmented files are all in the same partition.

Or you could switch to a SSD drive. Yes, they still get fragmented, but fragmentation doesn't increase their wear and tear nor worsen their performance. If you have a SSD drive, you should rarely defrag it, and you should reduce writes to it where possible to help it last longer.

if there are some boot files missing such as boot.ini or any other important files that the PC needs to boot. Or a bad hard drive that has a boot sector missing or corruption would stop a PC from booting. Or if your computer has a virus.
