DVI is a digital video interface and has been used as a computer display port in recent years as a digital alternative to VGA. A wide variety of resolutions and standards are supported from VGA (480 line) up to 1200 line and higher.

Confusingly, DVI can also support analog VGA signals within the same connector. This allows some backward compatibility but not all inputs or outputs carry analog signals.

DVI does not support audio signals but is otherwise compatible with HDMI. Adaptors are available to convert from one connector type to the other.

Unlike HDMI, DVI is not designed to support copy protection (HDCP) and therefore some HDMI signals may not operate correctly if they are connected to a DVI input.

A CRT monitor is much heavier and is a lot bigger front to back. It connects directly to a mains electricity supply and is power hungry. When it it working, getting close to screen will make the hairs on the back of your hand stand up.

A LCD monitor of the same viewing size is lighter and physically flatter front to back. It often has an external power supply and uses much less power.

All the secondary storage devices were used. These days, Pen drives and the Cell phone memory cards too are in use, as all of us know. We can even store on the internet. this is more and more good medium for storing data.

I don't know. My Dell 1008FP started to flicker and has a pink cast since I reformatted my computer. I have deleted the monitor and video card drivers, downloaded new updated ones and installed, same issue. My Microsoft wireless mouse is also hopping all over since the reformat.

Your average CRT should last you a very long time. It will probably last longer than most new flat-panel TVs or monitors. Because I love collection cool and retro things, I actually found an old CRT made exactly in 1985 in somebodies garbage. I took it home and found out that this 25 year old TV has an amazing picture and work perfectly! No lie.

In fact, the capacitive touch screen has a capacitive system. It is built with a layer that holds an electrical charge right on top of the glass panel. When a finger touches the screen, some of the charge escapes into the finger. The decrease in charge is measured in circuits which are usually located at the corners of the screen. And from the relative change in charge at each corner the computer can calculate what the point of contact was with the finger that released some of the charge.

From my experience, you may have one of two problems:

-The backlight for the LCD has failed

-The inverter board has gone bad

At the bottom of the screen is a bulb and it is gradually dying just like a florescent light bulb

You can replace the screen, but it can be a bit tricky. Prices run from 80-150 USD.

an input device is something you use to put information into the computer. E.G. a keyboard or mouse. in sound terms this could be a microphone. An output device is something that lets the computer give information to you. E.g, a monitor, or in sound terms, speakers.

To my knowledge, there is no code requirement to do so. Theoretically, if you place the rafters onto a properly fabricated double top plate of quality 2x4s, then the assembly should be structurally sound. To clear the screen in Net bean one must right click with the mouse and then click clear. One can also use Ctrl + L for this. Once this is done the contents should be cleared.

There are three reasons why a laptop screen is thinner than most television screens.

First, laptops are engineered to be as small as possible for portability. The thinner a laptop, the more attractive it is to a purchaser. Designers go to great lengths to reduce the depth. The desire for slim screens for televisions has been far less so there has been less effort to reduce the depth.

Next, laptops have all the processing electronics under the keyboard so the screen assembly is only housing the screen. A television uses the depth behind the screen for processing components such as receivers, scalers, control hardware and more. The additional circuit board all add to the depth

Finally, television displays tend to be much larger than laptops. The additional size demands different solutions to light the screen evenly. There is also a significant amount of heat generated which needs to be dissipated. Additional depth behind the screen allows heat to be removed more easily.

When television buyers begin to demand slimmer screens, manufacturers will respond with new products. The trend has already started with the use of LEDs for illumination rather than fluorescent lighting. An LED based LCD television can be half the depth of fluorescent models.

It is ether damaged or needs to be reset. you should be able to reset it by buttons on the front of the moniter or software on your computer.

With this, you can view the details of the calling party using your caller ID or your desktop call control system. From here you can either accept,reject or direct calls to your voice mail. You can even include a preset list of contacts and area codes to your call screening system to limit the number of calls you will be receiving and get rid of unwanted calls.

screen size of any computer or tv screen is measured along the diagonal. so screen size 14 inches means that the length of the diagonal of the screen is 14 inches

A CRT is a Cathode Ray Tube. CRT's are found inside televisions, ATMs, diagnostic and medical equipment and older computer monitors.

Your Video Card or its drivers would be the most likely problem.

Go to "My Computer", click "View System Information" (left column), click "Device Manager", click "Hardware", click the + beside "Display Adapters".

Select your display adapter (video card), right click it and select update drivers from the drop down list.

Follow the prompts.

If this doesn't help borrow a known working one from a friend if possible, install it and hope for an improvement.

If your motherboard has onboard Video you may need to make adjustments in Setup to disable it.

Assuming you're using XP or better drivers should be no problem.

Anything older and you may need a drivers disk.

I don't think this problem is related to a virus, most likely this is a hardware relate issue.

Here are some troubleshooting tips.

Test your laptop with an external monitor attached to the VGA port. If the external video is working fine then most likely there is nothing wrong with the motherboard or video card and the problem is somewhere inside the laptop display panel. Most likely you have a bad LCD screen.

I doubt that this problem is related to the video cable because when you have a bad video cable it affects video on the whole screen, not just on the part of the screen.

I guess you'll have to replace the laptop screen.

Environmental Protection Agency

Right-click on the screen to bring up a white box. Click on the "Graphics Options", then choose "Rotation". Click on the "Normal" setting to turn the screen right side up on your Dell laptop.
