What does Darwin mean by survival of the fittest?

It should be noted that it wasn't Darwin who coined the phrase "survival of the fittest", and that biologists do not generally use the phrase, as it is an inaccurate description of natural selection.

Natural selection is the mechanism by which populations adapt to changing circumstances, or the mechanism that filters the genetic drift of populations to better fit existing circumstances.

Natural selection is the term used to describe the differential reproduction of variant alleles. Alleles that affect the reproductive capabilities of the organism that bears them positively will increase their frequency in the population gene pool. Alleles that affect their own reproduction negatively will decrease their frequency.

Im not sure if this would be tameing it, but you go to your inventory take out a piece of baked or raw bacon, and throw it out to them, they'll come over to you , and then eat the bacon. I would recomend makeing a house for you and your coyote so it will be comfortable with you. P.S. Sometimes it does'nt always work, and EVEN though you throw the bacon to them, they might attack you so, Watch out! Good Luck:) IM glad I could ansewer your question:)

Avoid having a lot of human contact. Coyotes while not as pack oriented as wolves will on occasion allow a human into their inner circle as it were. When this happens you get some super loyal and mischiviously playful pets.

If at all possible leave them at their own den area and bring food and water to them. Determine if any are more malnurished or dyhydrated than others. Canned wet dog food or dry dog food wetted with Mamalac or similar puppy milk replacement is a good place to start. Add cooked meats and chicken then raw meats, mice, rabbits etc. preferably with skins and furs attached. Good luck.
