I am a psychiatrist and has used cymbalta at 90mg and 120mg in very select patients.

I only increase it over 60mg if the patient is having no side effects. If they start to have side effects at these higher doses, i have them lower the dose back to where they were. Those who were able to tolerate it felt better.

Unless you are under the close supervision of a doctor who can recommend a dose, then do not mix Cymbalta with 5-HTP. Taking both Cymbalta and 5-HTP may lead to serotonin syndrome which is rare, but potentially fatal.

It's the depakote that causes weight gain! Have your doctor find something else to replace it.
