What city is halfway between Phoenix AZ and Dallas TX?

Phoenix to Dallas is 1,068 miles. Via the northern route, Albuquerque, New Mexico is an excellent choice with things to do, excellent dining choices and accomodations in every price range. It is only 419 miles from Phooenix, however. The next wide spot in the road worthy of pulling in at might be Tucumcari which is a might shy on amenities and is about 60 miles past the geographic midpoint for that trip (592 miles from Phoenix). If the southern route using Interstate 10 is your choice, consider El Paso located 430 miles from Phoenix. The northern route is longer, but has many interesting attractions.

Luck.

In the long term, you are more likely to lose than to win. Nothing will change that.

Which is better to visit Dallas or Houston?

Both Dallas and Houston have good reasons for visiting, but nobody else can tell you which is best. It is all a matter of taste than anything else. Personally, I'm not a city person, so I have neither on my list of places to go. If I had to pick, though, it would probably be to visit the Houston area - not necessarily the city itself.

For me, I like the water. The Dallas area has Lake Grapevine - an artificial lake. But lakes are not my thing. Houston has Galvaston Bay, and beyond that, the Gulf of Mexico. There is great fishing nearby, and many charter or head boats to take you out to where the fish are. There is also a shrimping industry. But what is really nice is the huge number of seafood restaurants that get their seafood right from the boats. Having been a professional fisherman, I have to tell you that there is nothing like seafood right off the boat!

Hurricaines are something of an issue around Houston, and Galvaston Island was hit hard a little while back. But they are recovering, and I'm sure they would appreciate tourism making its way there. The beaches used to be great. I assume they still are.

There is also the Johnson Space Center in the area, and there used to be "the largest honkey-tonk" - Gilly's. But that has now closed, though I guess the name was sold and there seem to be several honky-tonks of that name.

In the Dallas area, there is Billy Bobs. It is an indoor rodeo, and they also provide you with bull riding experineces. I know that the Dallas area has good restaurants and places to go. But for me, I was always in Dallas on business, and didn't seem to find much I could do for fun other than eating. Billy Bobs is actually in Ft Worth, and the stockyards are right there. I believe there are also tours done of the South Fork ranch from the Dallas TV show.

How much money does an SAP systems consultant earn?

A "salaried" full-time position is in this range of $80,000 to $200,000, but if you are a self employed consultant, then the pay is more like $200,000 to $500,000 depending on your skill set. I'd say about $300,000 for a seasoned technical consultant and up to $500,000 for a functional one. At least that has been my experience and I have been doing this for 15 years.

Who was the mayor of Dallas in 1963?

Raymond MartinPersonal account from a FAQ FarmerWhen I arrived in Laredo, Texas in 1975 it was like living in the 20's or maybe in the late 1800's. Mayor Martin had managed through out the years to rip off all the people who lived here. There were no paved streets. No sidewalks, no gutters, and in some places no development at all. There were very few businesses here. There was one International Bridge. This was not normal for any city or town. He was under investigation by citizens that were not from Laredo and saw the corruption. The Texas Rangers got involved and assisted in the investigation. Any small town near by including, Hebberonville, Freer, San Diego, Falfurrias even Premont or Alice had better city organization than Laredo did. It was the 'good ole' boy system that was still in place and everyone here let it happened. I guess they thought that was the way all cities or towns were. Laredo, was caught in the past and did not even have a clue. The Mayor even had Laredo High School renamed after his family - Martin High School. After he was arrested and taken to the valley - everything began to change. It was a shame. People here just stuck in the past never questioning his authority. Most all of the city equipment was located at his ranch - where by the way all the roads were paved courtesy of the Laredo tax payer. Meanwhile everyone who lived in the city had dirt roads. Can you believe they never changed the High School back to the original Laredo High School? That's how much these people like him! Unbelievable! Laredo has come a very long way. Thank God, that man is long gone. Go through the Laredo Times and read what a thief that man was (1975-1976).

What days are liquor stores closed in Ohio?

There are 5 days that liquor stores have to close. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years day, Labor Day, and the 4th. I am pretty sure of this. I always think Memorial day is one, but I don't think so. Easter also, but since that is on a Sunday, that is a given.

Is there legal separation in Texas?

The action is usually referred to as "separate maintenance", where the couple reside apart but are still legally married. The court establishes the rights and liabilities of each party (child support, custody, property division, alimony, etc.). It is required that a couple file for and be granted a divorce for the marriage to be legally dissolved. Actually, no, Texas does not have legal separation. per http://www.nicholslaw.com/CM/FSDP/PracticeCenter/Family-Law/Texas-Divorce.asp?focus=faq A legal separation deals with property distribution and child support and custody issues without ending the marriage. While most states have some form of legal separation, however, Texas does not. In Texas, temporary orders concerning marital issues can be granted while a divorce is pending, but there is no provision for an indefinite legal separation.
