What is a database used for?

a database is used for storing your work and is a easy way to store infomation

A database is crucial for storing information, providing information to multiple users, easy access to data, fast information recall, and increased efficiency particularly for business owners.

Storing Information
A database is a type of file system that stores information. This is its most basic function. Instead of relying on traditional methods of storing information in physical file folders and cabinets, a database provides digital storage of information.

Providing Information To Multiple Users
Big advances in database technology allows multiple users to access and update information. This information will then be instantly viewable by all users. Not only does this enhance communication within a company, but it also ensures an informed and positive approach to customer service.

Easy Access To Data
A database manager provides easy access to information. Because the information is centralized, the user has no need to look to other applications or sources. All is provided through a singular database system, and the information in the database can be repurposed and fed into a company Web site or blog.

Fast Information Recall
Due in part to a series of complex algebraic algorithms that work together to recall information easily, querying a database should produce a quick result. When compared to locating the information manually, users find this quick recall an attractive feature of databases.

What is Developer's responsibilities in project?

Essentially to follow the project manager's instructions, to give accurate estimates (that the Project Manager will later pad), and to respect the project schedule.

Developers that adhere to the above responsibilities have a high chance of becoming Project Managers.

Why is a compiler a necessary part of a computer system?

A compiler isn't technically part of the computer. A compiler takes the source code of a program and compiles it into a usable program. However, without a compiler, there will be very few programs, and thus computers won't be much use.

Who in the organization should be familiar with sql commands and why?

In an organization the people who deal with the DBMS are a team that works in that department only. Other than them IT department can also manage the database . In all one must have knowledge to tackle the system if something goes wrong ,that is the IT person .

What methods would you use to maintain the integrity of the data in your database?

The use of Foreign key constraints together with the use of proper field formats and lenghths. You can also use defaults and rules.

What are the disadvantages of spread sheet?

1. to have a spreadsheet you need a computer and that will take up alot of room and also costs a lot.

2. you have to re-copy data over and over again to maintain it in separate data files,

3. you can not efficiently identify data errors,

4. theres a lack of detailed sorting and querying abilities,

5. sharing violations among users wishing to view or change data at the same time.

6. spreadsheets are restricted to a finite number of records

7. require a large amount of hard-drive space for data storage

8. cannot create reports like databases

Introduction To CITIZEN CARD SYSTEM The Project 'Citizen Card System' gives us the information about the citizen in any country. A Citizen has unique Id to find out the personal information in each and every department or service wherever a citizen goes. This information can be found out by the unique Id of the citizen. If any citizen wants to utilize the services or utilities by the Government or Private organizations, he has to go to each and every department with different Id for that particular department. Instead, a citizen card helps in having all the utilities and services under one unique Id. This system not only helps us to know the information about the services or utilities but also it gives the information about the character of the citizen in credit rating. This System consists of the modules like Personal Information, Credit Rating, Banking, Insurance, Tax, Provident Fund, Electricity, Telephone, Gas, Movies, Municipality, RTO, Voting, Passport, Travel Agency etc. Project Description 'Citizen Card System' provides the information about the citizen in any country. What are techniques that are used to implement cloud computing load balancing?

Load balancing is a term used to describe the process where the workload of running a computer system is spread across multiple machines for maximum efficiency. If one large job is split across five computers, for example, each computer will be able to do its share more efficiently than one computer would be able to handle the entire workload. In these types of setups, called computer clusters, reliability is typically increased exponentially through a process called redundancy.

When you start talking about load balancing in relation to the world of cloud computing, things get a little more complicated. Because cloud computing typically features a mixture of both hardware and software based solutions to allow users remote access to their information, load balancing is also spread across hardware and software at various points during the process. Any part of the cloud computing solution that is idle immediately becomes part of the load balancing process. Load distribution is migrated across a series of source nodes, which are elements that feature a surplus workout, and transferred across the cloud to something called a destination load.

When load balancing begins to be applied during the normal runtime operation of the cloud service, it becomes a process that is known as dynamic load balancing. Dynamic load balancing is capable of being realized through a combination of both hardware and software working on conjunction with one another.

Load balancing and the types of applications that handle it have been shown to dramatically increase the overall efficiency of a cloud based environment by successfully moving around large sets of data. That type of efficiency wouldn't normally be present in a system that wasn't based on cloud computing technologies. Load balancing is particularly efficient when moving large amounts of data either to or from the cloud.

MY gait easy computer for seniors?

This is a computer designed for and marketed to seniors, particularly those who haven't yet been exposed to computers. It is a no-tower design, with the CPU, drives and ports in a case that is attached to the monitor. The keyboard has huge letters and is super easy to read; the display can be zoomed to be very large. The operating system is mostly "hidden" from the user (I was there as a PC tech assisting my customer and it's not easy to access menus or browse for anything, but that's by design). The PC is designed to be used for internet browsing, emailing, photo browsing and document creation.

Difference between Sequence diagram and state diagram?

State Diagram is used to give abstract description of the behavior of a system. This behavior is analyzed and represented in series of events that could occur in one or more possible states.

Flow Chart is a diagram descripes an algorithm or a process by using certain shapes.

Both of them are doing the same function. State diagram is summarizing the work of a system while flow chart is giving much detail about the working process of a system

What is a Null Value and when are Null values used?

In a database, there is a difference between an empty field and one whose value is undetermined. For example, an employee database might have value constraints defined that check any entry into a date field be a valid date. If one such field was for termination date, it couldn't be left blank because that's not a valid date but no valid date exists as yet. In such a case, setting the field to Null solves the problem.

Who is a database designer?

A database designer is a person who specifies how a database records are stored, accessed and related to make sure there is adequate performance!

What factors affect selection of granularity size for data item?

There are several factors guiding granularity selection: 1) overhead - the more granular the more objects and methods in supporting code, 2) regulatory - there may be compliance mandates specifying what granularity will be maintained in the data, 3) industry practice - your granularity should generally match that of cloud and third-party products if your system will be integrating with these services. For example, do not combine first and last name as a single data item if every one else manages these as two separate data items.

Tables have records which are columns and fields which are rows?

No. In a database table the records are in rows and the fields are in columns.

Eachrow of a database table is called a?

It is called a Record. An old term that is sometimes used is a tuple, but you will rarely hear that.

Your computer just said that it could not switch users and when you tried to your computer locked like you were on a network and you are not Once you restarted everything was fine but what happened?

It could be a different issue... But it seems like you tried to change users without logging off, or trying to change something that only an administrator can and you weren't logged in as one.

What is a software adaptor?

Why does your PS3 keep switching off. I keep trying to turn it on but it make a weird fan noise and its blue light blinks and then it turns off and leaves the red light blinking. How do you fix this?

i have a ps3 and it has never done that. but, first, shut it of till the red light is solid. after that, hold the power button for ten seconds, even after it turns on. this will reset the display mode. if that doesn't work, than my logic says you have a jammed disc and you should contact customer support. it should be covered under warrenty.
