He could be deeply depressed. He could feel inadequate, or even unworthy of meaningful contact due to erectile dysfunction or any number of other problems, physical or mental, real or imagined. Perhaps such a man is uninterested because he thinks his wife is "up to no good."
Frankly, this writer is offended that the above writer simply assumes that, if a man is not attentive over a period of time, he is automatically unfaithful. There are so many potential marital problems, malicious and otherwise, that typecasting an entire gender in such a manner reeks of ignorance and prejudgment.
