You can give your dog the ff:
* Give your dog healthy snacks such as fruits and vegetables: apple slices, carrot sticks, orange segments, banana slices, and frozen vegetables are all canine favorites.
* It's okay to give your dog a little bite of what you had for dinner, but only the bits you'd eat yourself--no fat or gristle, please!
* Some foods aren't good for dogs and can cause serious health problems. These include chocolate, onions, raisins, and grapes.
* Make sure what you buy is high in protein, not grain-based, and that it's AAFCO-tested. The AAFCO, the American Association of Feed Control Officials, is a watchdog group that sets food-testing and labeling standards.
give them any DOG food you think is good
Primarily, I feed mine Science Diet small bites, but at dinner time, our yorkie will eat whatever protein/meat we are having. Of course, if it's fried, I'll peel off the fried stuff or I also keep grilled chicken strips just for him in case he can't eat what we're eating.
How much food do dogs eat in 10 days?
Puppies need to eat a lot--and not too much. You should be able to feel but not see their ribs, and they should have a visible waist when you look down at them. This is true for puppies of any breed, big or small.
*It depends a lot on the breed. For example, yorkies eat much less than mastiffs. Look on the dog/puppy food bag for the amount your dog should eat. Though amounts on the bag are always the maximum to give your dog.
How much money for one can of dog food?
it all depends on the size of bag and brand. I feed my medium sized dog adult Science Diet (wich most vets reccomend). Pets Mart has it the cheapest at about $35.00 for a large bag. If you go to science diet's website, sometimes you can get coupons there.
What is the best dog food for a shetland sheep dog?
She probably only wants a fraction of what you are feeding her. I'd get some kind of complete feed and give her just about 1 cup per day plus a couple of flakes of hay and that's it. Shetlands are kind of picky about eating. If the hay is good quality, she'll probably eat it but only if she's hungry. She's going to want some grain over just hay but it's really dangerous for her to gain a lot of weight because of the risk of laminitis. It's caused by stressful events, as trauma, infection, or parturition and it's the laminae in the hoof of the horse. you don't want that to happen. If you are giving her the feed in the morning and feel kind of bad about her only getting hay at night, you can give her a chopped carrot and apple with the hay and that's it. She doesn't need a bag of them either. For her sake, you probably need to seriously cut back her diet, well, if she needs to. Well that's your answer.

Dog urine stains out of wooden floors?
Answer if the urine has stained the wood, you can put diluted clorine bleach on a damp cloth a lay it on the spot for a few minutes or wipe the spot with the cloth a couple of times, then let it dry. be aware of the dangers of inhaling clorine. this might raise the wood grain some. use 200 grit sand paper to sand grain, try to find stain to match then varnish
I think that we must be careful when using chlorine or bleach especially around our pets even if it s diluted. Also for some woods this may etch the flooring and thats the last thing we want. there are many odor eliminating products, especially for pet urine and I found one named odorklenz that is made from natural earth minerals and is great at removing the odors without the harmful chemicals or fragrances. The good thing it works so well that your pet wont even pick up the previous urine scent and wont return in that area.

What is the shelf life of cooked liver?
Since this question was in the pet category, I don't know if you mean dog food or not, nor do I know if it should be recategorized. But if it is commercial dog food, then the package should tell you how to store it, and for how long it will stay good. If it is home-cooked liver, then it should be kept no longer than three days, whether for yourself or your pet. And, of course, always refrigerate cooked foods within two hours after cooking. Contrary to common belief, pets can get sick from food borne illnesses, just as people do.
I'm not sure which dog you're referring to here, but

If you're talking about the animal, then no person 'invented' the dog. It either evolved from earlier lifeforms, was created by some sort of higher being, or came about in some other way nobody has theorized yet.
Frontline should be applied once a month throughout the entire year (as eggs can stay dormant for up to 6mths). Once applied, Frontline will kill all existing adults within 24hrs and prevent any eggs laid for becoming viable.
However, fleas can still jump onto your pet from the environment. They will die quickly, but it means you may see them on your pet.
Pets need a very high amount of Frontline (about 20 doses for a cat and over 50 for a dog) before you see any toxic effects - however the normal recommended dose should be more than adequate provided you are using the correct species-specific and weight-specific product (and applying it correctly).

Yes the small tubes that you apply to a dogs back work but you have to make sure that you only get the one that fits your dogs weight. They have a type of poison in them that is safe only for certain size dogs. If you are not sure weight yourself first without your dog the weight yourself with it and subtract to find it's weight. It is safe to use if you are careful but if you are not you can kill an animal. If you have a puppy make sure you read the label before you purchase anything. Some soaps and medicines can not be used on puppies so read before you buy. Most flea shampoo's are dangerous for puppies. Good luck and please love your dog.
