Dogs are known to lower blood pressure especially in elderly people. Dogs are also stress relievers and are good companions. They are also used for jobs such as helping the blind and detecting drugs. The list of things a dog can do is probably endless.

Cat stools, especially indoor cats', taste very sweet to dogs because of what cats like to eat. I'm not sure of the specifics of it but because cat food is very sweet, which dogs love more than their own treats, it tends to make their stool very sweet, which is irresistable for most dogs, including mine, which is why we have to store our closed in litter boxes on shelves where only the cats can reach them.

Instead, the type of food fed should benefit the whole animal, not just one part of it.

If it is really stuck and is only on a small area then you may have to cut it off, but if there is a large amount the best thing to do would be to let it dry and then break it off, or you could cool it so it becomes hard and easier to break.

It either means that it is worked or if it always breathes hard it might have trouble breathing. If it always breathes hard, then you might want to talk to a vet.

My German Shepherd likes to eat high quality food that is high in meat content and low in grain. You may be able to get this in super markets but may have better luck in pet stores. Some owners like to feed a mix of dry and wet food to add variety to the diet and to keep the dog from getting bored.

I have a shih tzu (pronounced shee zoo), and he is pretty much a puppy, but one that barks, not yips. I get him the little cartons of food, like cesar, which you can get in food lion or even walmart, I believe. I would stay away from the grocery store brands of food. Stay away from foods with corn, by-products, wheat, soy, gluten, and dyes. Go with holistic foods like Canidae, Natural Balance, Wellness, Solid Gold, Fromm, Eagle Pack, or Innova. Make sure it says for puppies or All Life Stages if it says ALS then that means based on the weight of the dog you feed twice as much as you would feed an adult dog that is the same weight. If you research Holistic or Natural foods you will get a whole list of different foods that are good for your puppy. Also dont just feed wet food because if you only feed the wet food as a puppy they will never learn to eat dry food and buying wet food is more expensive then buying dry food. Hope that helps!

Dogs are carnivores. They really need meat in their diets. It's probably the healthiest for them to eat it.yes but not more then 2 cups for a meal nomatter what size your dog is. it is realy bad for them to eat a bone though!

There are sprays and powders that you can purchase from your pet store to prevent your puppy from peeing in certain areas. You can also lay down pee pads where your puppy urinates so that the urine does not soak into the carpet.

Frontline plus can be safely used every2-3 weeks if you have a flea problem. make sure that if you are going to bathe your pet you do so either 2 days before or after application. make sure to apply it directly to skin. Frontline will kill all fleas that get on your pet. if you are seeing a lot of fleas still after applying you need to treat environment.

Yes. German shepherds are incredibly annoying. They are not docile calm dogs. They live 100% of their day on a constant state of alert. If you like a relaxed dog that will casually live in your house with you, a German Shepherd is not it. It will jump to attention every time you move a muscle, it will bark at everything in sight; every car that goes by, every person on the sidewalk..if you drop a fork in the sink, it will have to investigate.

Pine tar soap definitely does not help kill or prevent fleas attacking your dog. The best flea treatments/preventions are monthly 'spot on' treatments such as Frontline, Advantage and Revolution which you can get from your pet shop or vet. Dogs have a different acidity to their skin than we do, so human soaps and shampoos can disrupt the natural state of their skin leading to dryness and itchiness. Specialised dog shampoo should always be used - never use human brands.

Dog food, doggie snacks, and doggie toys in that order, with the occasional additional expense for the vet visits for inoculations and check-ups, and then finally, for a dog license annually. That's how I spend my money on my dog.
