A dog might chew things for a variety of reasons...

If it's young, it might be teething, and it feels the same kind of "itchy pain" that humans feel when teething. A favorite way to relieve that feeling is to chew something, and they're not too awfully picky about what... Any interesting thing that's within reach will do, even solid steel.

A more mature dog might chew out of anxiety... Particularly if left alone and not accustomed to it, or adapted to it. Being alone is a very unnatural and uncomfortable thing to a dog, and they will be nervous and anxious until they learn that, although you go away from time to time, you're not 'lost', they're not 'lost', and you'll always be back.

Another reason dogs chew is boredom. Chewing is a comforting pastime, and they don't automatically understand why you'd not want them to chew on some things, or what those things are.

Best bet, in general, is to make sure they have toys or rawhide bones to chew, keep your phone out of easy reach, and give them a good, firm "No!" when they go after the wrong thing... Most dogs are pretty smart, and they'll learn what not to chew on with the right help from you. :-)

This is a horrible anxiety/boredom habit, like smoking. So many people do it, I unfortunately am the person who notices and it drives me insane. To stop, just become more aware of when you do it, and maybe try and find a new anxiety habit.For example my mothers friend was trying to stop cursing, so she got this bracelet and every time she cursed she switched wrists, it made her more aware of her actions. The worst time to do it is when people are talking to you, they notice it more, and job interviews are the worst. I really hope you overcome it.

You can also try to use a mouthguard. Not a huge one that will annoy you. But when your mouth starts to heal and becomes smooth it will be much easier for you to resist temptation to chew. I don't know if you're like me but I mostly do it because there is loose skin from previous chewing/healing so I want to bite it off because it's annoying. Hope I helped some =)

This is not an uncommon problem at all and so many women do complain about this. As we know men and women are different. Most men have a tendency to keep their feelings to themselves, and what bothers us, may not bother them. Bedtime and having sex is not the time to discuss problems (even after sex.) My husband use to be the same way, but I learned a long while ago that communication is everything, and men are bright enough to communicate if they so choose as long as it's a reasonable problem and just not nagging or gossiping. I got my husband to communicate properly by letting him come home from work, have his shower and then he'd either have a wine or tea with me. I shut the TV off! I'd ask him about his day and listen and help where I could, then I started to tell him about my day and, if there were any problems we both put our heads together to figure out the best solution we could to the problem at hand. It took a few times before it worked, but, in time it worked and we use this method today. Oh no, it's not magic and we still have some communication problems as we are both busy. This just isn't a perfect world. I think your husband loves you. Instead of constantly bringing up the fact he refuses to talk to you then ask yourself what you are saying to him and what problems you want to talk to him about and make sure they are important problems. Women that constantly nag over anything (may be important that day, but not that serious and is soon forgotten) or gossip are not going to get a man's attention (I'm not accusing you of nagging.) Mix communication skills in slowly, but also, have a nice dinner for him when he comes home and one weekend go out together and just have fun. Life doesn't always have to be about problems and sometimes forgetting about them for a couple of hours is the best thing for partners in marriage (or even couples living together.) Good luck Marcy

Start by taking him or her out every half hour. Take treats with you and give them whenever the dog eliminates. If he or she goes inside, immediately take the dog outside until they go again. Do not hit the dog or rub his or her nose in it. This doesn't help and only scares the dog into never pooping again. If you take the puppy out often enough, he won't feel the urge to pee or poop inside. Also, getting a male dog neutered will kill his urge to mark his territory.

Well u can use a motor cycle tire or a small trailer tire cut it in half I used a grinder it worked pretty well than u cut a portion for ur arm from one of the halfs measuring from ur elbow to a couple inches past ur hand than cut a price from ur shoulder to aprox. 3-4 inches past ur elbow wen both peicess are cut get two nuts and two bolts and four washers u will use these to create the joint placing one on the left side of the tire wall than the other. u only want enough of the threads to stick out to get the nut and washer on once u join both peices get a nut and bolt to use for the handle it needs to be long enough to go into the left or right tire wall than through the other tire wall once again selecting a bolt that only allows enough threads to get the nut on so the dog won't get hurt u may want to wrap this bolt in tape or a hose for comfort. The sleeve is now built all that is left to do is cut slits along the tire walls for straps to secure one tire wall to the other which will keep it on ur arm that's it. DO NOT LET UR DOG BIT IT WITH OUT A SLEEVE COVER!!!!!!!!! their are wires in the tire that could hurt the dog it is important that all the bolts are only long enough to get the nuts on! If their are more threads sticking out past the nuts it could impail u or the dog depending which way u place them
