you have to go to him and command him like sit and do the action with your hand then if he doesn't listen put him in a dark room for about a week (but still feed him! you don't want him to die!) then get him out. if he does bite you again do the same thing, after a little while he won't dare bite you again!

I know this works for hamsters, but I'm not sure about rats... anyways, rub your hands around in whatever you put in the bottom of their cage before you do so, so they get used to your scent.

The dogs are the same. Most being the same breed of dog.

Have you tried locking the dog up inside? Sometimes turning on a radio or tv might work, though not always. You might get a barking collor, though I do not actually suggest one, cause there are no shocking collars that actually teach a dog anything other then to be afraid of that collar. The collar wont teach the dog to be quite, it'll only teach it to be quiet when the collar is on. -which is a major difference--

If you can't find a way to keep him quiet for the day, then try the barking collar, just remember that the dog will most likely only stay silent if he is wearing the collar if you choose to train him that way

If your puppy is afraid of his/her crate, it could just scare s/he because of the metal or plastic (the bottom of the crate; noise it makes or it could be slippery) so put a blanket on the bottom of the crate. Also, try purchasing a Kong or toy where you can stuff it with treats. With my dog, we also put peanut butter on the top covering the hole of the Kong. This will teach your puppy that whenever s/he goes in the crate, there is a reward(:

It depends on the individual dog but most puppies can take up to a few months and untrained adult dogs can take longer.

Teach your dog to take turns. First teach him to wait for a treat until you say his name, as in "This is for JOE" or "Joe's turn!" by putting a treat down in your closed hand. Let him try to get it out of your hand, and when he finally gives up and moves away from your hand, say "This is for Joe" and drop the treat for him.

Then get a second dog and teach her the same thing. When you have them near each other, say clearly "This is for Joe" and give a treat to Joe, then "This is for Marsha" and give a treat to Marsha. Play this game every day and your dog will come to see that controlling himself gets him what he wants, and when he sees another dog getting something, there's a very good chance that if he controls himself, he will get something too.
