Wendy's Wendy's does sell a product called a frosty, though it is not a beverage. It is a semi-frozen dairy dessert with the consistency ranging from soft-serve ice cream to that of a very thick milkshake.

Shakes are typically defined as being ice cream and milk based. Smoothies, on the other hand, are typically made with fruits and/or veggies, juice or water, and ice. Some places will put yogurt into their smoothies as well, but it's not required.

Milk Shakes, while great at bringing boys to your yard, are not a suitable meal replacement. Smoothies are, as long as their made with real fruits and veggies.

Not that you asked, but my favorite smoothie recipe is:

1 banana

1 handful of baby spinach

1 spoonfull of peanut butter

1 spoonfull of non-fat greek yogurt

Skim milk

Throw all the solid ingrideints in a blender, and add about 2 inches of milk. Blend. If it's too thick, add more milk. If you want your smoothie cold, you can either add a handful of ice cubes, or if you think of it ahead of time, cut your banana and freeze it.

It depends on the type of juice. some juices are clear solutions or filtered to become clear. Others are mixtures.

Shaking clear juices like grape juice, apple juice or cider will get air bubbles mixed in that will disappear after a moment and the apple juice will be just like before it was shaken.

Juices like tomato, orange and pineapple juice will eventually have the undissolved solids settle to the bottom. It is important to shake it (hopefully in a closed container) to bring it to its drinkable form. Unfiltered apple juice, if settled, may also need to be shaken.

If you mean to ask what is the healthiest ingredient in "soda," or carbonated drinks, the answer would be water. Soft drinks are very high in sugar, especially high fructose corn syrup, which studies indicate contributes to obesity.

I am not sure if this is possible as I don't believe that powdered lemonade is actually from squeezed lemons.

You could do a wet concentrate, I believe you would do it the same way that you would make any fruit juice concentrate from fresh juice.

You would place the juice in a vacuum, as pressure is is reduced the boiling point for the water in the juice will be reduced, thus requiring lower temperatures to evaporate the mixture.

Then heat would be applyed as well.

But I assume that if you tried to reduce all the moisture to the point that it was a powder with this method, I would assume that you would damage the sugars in the concentrate until their is nothing left of them except some bad tasting hydrocarbon sludge.

But I am not positive about this, I guess the simpliest backup I can think of for my argument is, is there a powdered orange juice concentrate?

The first thing that comes to mind for me would be Tang, and for anyone that has tasted Tang it is apparent that the main ingredient is not from orange juice.
