I was told to wait at least one period before I try to get pregnant again. If you did wait at least one period you might be pregnant. To be sure I would go get a blood test.

I had an ectopic pregnancy that was removed by laparoscopy at 5 weeks 6 days. I had brown discharge (like prune juice ) for about 4 days and then i had some red discharge after that for 3 days (not like regular periods and sorry for tmi). I had pains in my right side and that was also not continuous. The main symptoms I had were one sided pain ( bearable) on and off from the 5th week. I had bloating in my stomach and my left side was extremely tender and that was when they saw the ectopic in a scan and there was lots of fluid in my pelvic area that was seen in the scan. Normally a sperm swim to the fallopian tube, meets the egg and fertilize it there. then the egg travels down to the uterus to attach into the uterus wall. In a ectopic pregnancy the egg stays in the fallopian tube and start to grow. If not removed the fallopian tube will break and cause sterility and death to the mother. A embryo can not survive.

I had an ectopic pregnancy and had no pain just mild discomfort (like gas) on the opposite side as the ectopic. I did have red blood spotting but only first thing in the morning they did HCG tests and my levels were not quite doubling so sent me in for a early ultrasound could not find anything with the abdominal one so did a trans vaginal one and found the baby with heartbeat in my left tube right next to my ovary. The baby measured 8wks 2 days. I was admitted and had emergency surgery to terminate the pregnancy and lost my left tube. When they went in they found that I was already bleeding internally but tube had not completely ruptured. All womens body's are different and react differently to ectopic pregnancy. You need to realize though that it can be very serious and in some cases can be fatal. If you think there is any chance that you have an ectopic you need to consult a Doctor or go to an ER for your own safety. I have had very serious female related problems including cancer and 4 late mid-term miscarriages and almost lost my life more than once. Don't take any chances.

That would not be likely as there is no real connection between what is happening in the reproductive system and the inside of the urethra except at the point where it ends to release urine. besides an ectopic pregnancy is itself not an infection.
