Looks like both are NiMH as NiCd batteries are generally not available for more than 800mAH rating. NiMH are common to have 1600mAH and more rating per AA cell. - Neeraj Sharma
Can you reverse the flow of a Diaphragm pump?
No, Diaphragm pumps are omnidirectional. They are designed only to flow in one direction. There may be reversible ones, but I have never seen or heard of one in the commercial electrical field.
From your question it's hard to tell what might be the source of your problem. Is this a primary source to a machine or multiple circuits or from a transformer to just one device like a motor. If it is a short to ground then it should be tripping fuses or breakers if not then you have a unsafe situation in a ungrounded system. If the power is from a transformer then it may have an open winding or blown fuse on either the primary or secondary side.
Where does the red wire in a baseboard heater connect to the black or white wire in the wall?
In the heater you will have two wires. You should then have 2 supply wires from the panel, and 2 wires from the thermostat. The neutral (white) supply wire should go to one of the wires on the heater. The hot (black) supply wire should connect to one wire from the thermostat. The other wire from the thermostat will connect to the other wire from the heater.
Why does a Led have a 470 resistor connected to the LED?
A: That resistor is there to limit the current to the LED it can be any value if the voltage is decreased or increased or no resistor if the voltage across the led is equal to the forward voltage drop.
What is the difference between UK electricity and eu electricity supply?
UK and European electricity supplies now conform to a single standard of 230VAC at 50Hz. This is a recent change from the UK voltage of 240VAC and mainland Europe of 220VAC.
Mains outlets are different. The UK uses a square, three pin plug that has a fuse built into the plug body. The fuse is normally 3, 5, 10 or 13A. Mainland Europe uses a round, two pin plug with the earth pin either protruding from the socket or two blades that connect with the outside of the plug. European plugs are not fused. Adaptors are freely available to convert between European and UK connections.
Although this is a Europe wide standard, some of the more remote and rural countries have less than perfect supplies. In some of the Eastern Block countries, voltages have been known to drop to under 160VAC at times. While many electrical devices will operate at the reduced voltages, others will fail as the voltage drops. For travellers who are visiting some of the far reaches of Europe, it might be worth checking the typical voltages before assuming that equipment will operate.
CommentThe so-called 'change' from a nominal voltage of 240 V to '230 V' is simply a paper exercise, to satisfy the EU's obsession with standardisation. In practice, there has been no change whatsoever to the actual nominal voltage. The original standard specified 240 V +/- 6%, and this remains the current situation. However, the new standard 'specifies' 230 V +10%/-6% and, although this appears throughout the new Wiring Regulations simply to comply with the EU requirement. Once again, a completely wasteful exercise hoisted on the UK by the EU!What is made by passing an electric current through coils of wire?
An electro magnet is created when a current is passed through a coil of wire. This effect is the main operation of how an electrical solenoid operates.
How much stronger does water make electricity?
Water doesn't make electricity "Stronger". However, water does conduct electricity. Henceif you were in a bath tub full of water and electricity were introduced into the water you would stand a high chance of being electrocuted as shown in many murder mysteries. The water essentially connects you to earth ground through the water and to the metal drain or water pipes that are likely grounded somewhere.
What is the first phase of installing the BEAR electrical distribution system?
providing mission essential power
Neutral current is the vector sum of the phase currents. You should be able to add up the phase currents from their polar quantities.
Why star delta timer required for motor?
The timer is used to give the motor time to reach its running speed at the star voltage. Once the timer times out the star contactor drops out and the delta contactor pulls in.
Where can you find a bridge rectifier?
Bridge rectifiers are used in alternators and other electronic equipment that needs full DC current and can be bought at local electronic stores as well as the internet. Radio shack sells them also. A bridge rectifier is a 2 or 4 rectifiers that rectify AC current into DC. A full wave bridge usually consists of 4 diodes that rectify both the negative and positive swings of the AC current into DC. With the proper center wound transformer, only 2 diodes are needed.
Search Google for a "full wave rectifier" diagram!!!
Is the wide prong on an electrical plug connected to the black wire?
No, the wide prong is neutral it is the white wire.
The narrow prong is hot it is the black wire.
The round prong (in a 3 wire plug) is safety ground it is the green wire.
What is the difference between parallel and series circuits?
A series circuit is one in which the current must pass through all the electrical devices in the circuit in turn.
A parallel circuit is one in which the current passes through each electrical device on the circuit following separate, independent path from all other devices on the circuit, one for each electrical device.
They don't need to, but if it is digital, it may have them. (Ohmmeters must have a battery)
How do you check your ground connection on a motorcycle?
Check your connection at the battery and where it bolts to the frame. Make sure they do not have corrosion or paint stopping a metal to metal connection. If all is good, you are grounded.
Can you run 110 volts saftely through a 277 volt ballast?
No, it is not safe to run 110 volts through a ballast rated for 277 volts. Ballasts are designed to work with specific voltage ratings to ensure safe and efficient operation. Using the ballast with the incorrect voltage could damage the ballast or create a fire hazard. It is important to use the correct voltage for the ballast to prevent any safety issues.
Can T8 LED tube light be used with ballast and can ballast be removed and will it work?
A T8 LED tube has to be used with a ballast to bring the correct voltage to the tube for it to operate correctly. Removing the ballast from the circuit will prevent the tube from operating.
You probably need a 5hp or 7hp motor. Look for HP rating o the 3 phase motor and select the same for single phase. 3 phase has same power but is more efficient at electricity use. Also consider a 3 phase converter. It allows a 3 phase motor to run on single phase service.
