The Lake Poets were a group of English poets who lived in the Lake District of England during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The three main Lake Poets were William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and Robert Southey. They were known for their connection to nature and their emphasis on the simplicity and beauty of everyday life.

The Ewells in "To Kill a Mockingbird" are a poor, uneducated family known for their dishonesty and immoral behavior. They live on the outskirts of town and are ostracized by the community due to their reputation for being troublemakers. Despite their negative traits, they are still deserving of empathy and understanding.

Alice Molland was a woman who was convicted and subsequently hanged for witchcraft in 1685 in Exeter, England during the height of the witch trials. Her case is one of the many examples of the hysteria and persecution of individuals accused of witchcraft during that period.

Tom Swift science fiction novels were up and running and featured some exotic weapons- as World War I was entrenched, literally- these included a Giant Cannon similar but more powerful than the German Big Bertha and a war tank, etc.
