How do people determine which laws in Leviticus are ceremonial and which ones are moral?
The ceremonial laws were given by God to the Israelites. These mostly showed what was clean and unclean. But, because of Jesus Christ and the New Covenant, there is no longer "clean and unclean". Here are some of the ceremonial laws:
What is the most important cultural leadership component in an ethics program?

What is the difference between ethics based on religious beliefs and ethics based on reason alone?
An ethics based on religious beliefs claims that right and wrong are determined by something supernatural or divine such as a god. As Plato argued, a problem with this view is that it seems to make right and wrong arbitrary. Must not the Divine have had a good reason to say that some acts are right and some acts are wrong? If the Divine did have such a good reason, then ethics is based on reason that is beyond the Divine; if the Divine did not have such a good reason, then ethics is arbitrary.
.
The branch of ethical theory that considers the origin and meaning of ethical principles is known as meta ethics.
What ethical issues are behind subliminal messages?

James Moor (2000) points out that computer technology, unlike most previous technologies, is "logically malleable"; it can be shaped and molded to perform a variety of functions. Because noncomputer technologies are typically designed to perform some particular function or task, they lack the universal or general-purpose characteristics that computing technologies possess

What could further research on the atom do for the advancement of science and human culture?
Research on "the atom" is happening at different levels, and i assume the question is really directed at high-energy particle physics, since the physics and chemistry of atoms is routinely employed on a daily basis to advance materials science, healthcare, chip design etc. and deliver new structural materials, pharmaceutical products, semiconductors etc. which contribute greatly to our standard of living and the technological status and wellbeing of mankind.
Fundamental research into the structure of matter using very large, expensive apparatus and numerous teams of researchers may have a less obvious technological spin-out benefit, since the energies employed in probing are way beyond those observed in the world we inhabit. However, in reference to human culture, we can regard this work as a search for truth about the nature of the universe.
The infinitesimally small world of sub-atomic particles has close links to the unimaginably large universe which surrounds our tiny earth, and cosmologists have already used this physics to explain phenomena including neutron stars, black holes and supernovae etc. Understanding the origins of our universe also requires a detailed knowledge of sub-atomic physics to explain how, some 14 billion years ago, our universe sprang into being from the vacuum.
Such knowledge obviously has a massive impact on human culture, since much of this culture is currently predicated on un-testable religeous dogma, written down in ancient books of various types or expounded by individuals regarded as spritual leaders. Whether one accepts the tenets of religion and the associated philiosophies and politics has a large influence on one's perception of of fellow human beings, whether as individuals, tribes, creeds or nations.
The research being conducted into the nature of matter and its association with cosmology is subjected to the rigours of peer-review and testing for reproducibility from some of the most able intellects on the planet and therefore is exposed to scrutiny and scepticism from the outset. Whether this search for truth about cosmic origins can be harmonised with the preconceptions of religious teaching and dogma is a matter for resolution in the mind of the individual. However, the opinion of the author is that knowledge of the human condition and our place in the universe (whether or not you happen to like the sound of it) has to ultimately be a good thing for the future sustainibility of our race and for inter-human relations.
Who said tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society?
It is NOT a quote from Aristotle, though it is peddled as such on Christian and Right-Wing websites. If you do a search of the works of Aristotle on Google Books you will find nothing remotely like this.
it is an ethical theory which holds that man is endowed with a special moral sense by virtue of which man distinguishes between right and wrong.

What is a good example of ethical formalism?
Ethical formalism is an ethical theory that defines morals based off reason and logic that says something is defined right or wrong all of the time. Examples of this include saying abortion is always wrong, no matter what and if an individual can do something that is against the law because they think it is right, then everyone should be allowed to do the same thing.
What dose mean ethical dilemma and example for it?
An ethical dilemma is a complex situation that often involves an apparent mental conflict between moral imperatives, in which to obey one would result in transgressing another.
