What if your baby hasn't turned at 32 weeks?

Less chance because of the growing fetus but you can ask the suggestion of an aversionist, a doctor specialized in manuevering the position of the baby with the use of an ultrasound if this is still possible. If theres still enough room and amniotic is adequate < i think it would be ok.

What age does a baby develop its heartbeat?

According to drspock.com, "the embryonic heart starts beating 22 days after conception, or about five weeks after the last menstrual period, which by convention we call the fifth week of pregnancy. The heart at this stage is too small to hear, even with amplification, but it can sometimes be seen as a flickering in the chest if an ultrasound is done as early as four weeks after conception."

But as to when you can hear it, it varies widely.

Is an empty gestational sac common at 5 weeks?

I thought they couldn't see any thing until 6 weeks. You might want to wait before you start stressing. At 5 weeks an ultrasound tech. can see a thickening in the uterine lining but a heartbeat cannot be detected because the embryo is not developed enough. It might appear empty to you because there is nothing there but a spec the size of maybe the point on a pen, if that big!So I would not worry.

What does a baby's kick feel like?

You probably won't feel your baby kick until around week 16 and 22, even though the baby has been moving since week 7 or 8. You may have already witnessed these movements during an ultrasound. This is often known as a fluttering feeling or a grasshopper walking across your belly during the first movements.

Is it true that the miscarriage rate goes down after you see the heartbeat on an ultrasound?

Hi, Not really, no. The miscarriage rate goes down when your 3 months into your pregnancy.

Hey! Actually I saw the baby's heartbeat at 6wks and again at 9wks both on Ultrasounds (I've had so many due to having 3 previous miscarriages and being labeled high-risk). I asked my doctor that exact question and she said that it does take the miscarriage rate down alot, so much so that she doesn't even consider me highrisk anymore. So yes, according to my doctor is does make the miscarriage rate go down (of course it does not go away completely but it does get better). It will go down even more when the placenta successfully takes over the hormone production (which is why most people don't consider it to be "safe" until 3months which is when that final step takes place.) Hope that gives you a little comfort and peace of mind! I know it did for me when I heard that from my doctor!

Your partner feels at times a very strong pulse her's not the baby's in the lower stomach area - could the baby be pressing against her artery etc?

It is not the baby pressing on an artery, simply that the blood flow to the uterus is much greater in pregnancy that in times of quiet she may be aware of it.

Can you move a birdhouse with babies in it?

It's generally not recommended to move a birdhouse with baby birds inside, as this can cause stress to the parents and young birds. If absolutely necessary, do so with great care and ideally during a time when the parents are away, minimizing disturbance. Always check local wildlife regulations, as some species may be protected during nesting. If you're unsure, it's best to consult a local wildlife expert.

How is a fetus developed in the ninth month?

The final month. During this month, the fetus is getting ready to make a move!

Halfway through this month, the fetus will be considered "full term" and ready to be born.

During this month, growth continues to be quick. About 2 inches and 2.5 pounds are added to its overall size. At birth, body fat will have increased to about 15 percent.

At this point, the fetus has basically run out of kicking space. Most fetuses have settled into a head-down birthing position in the ninth month. Many babies of first time mothers-to-be will drop into the mother's bony pelvis by about the 38th week. This serves as the starting gate for labor and delivery.

The umbilical cord has now grown to over 2 feet in length and the placenta weighs in at about 1.5 pounds.
