If when the doctor did an ultrasound she said that you are not as far along as you thought or this is not a normal pregnancy do you need to be worried?

a doctor tried to tell me the same thing.....he said my babys not alive cause they couldn't see a active heart beat.I went home all upset waiting for my body to DO what THE doctors call it "abort the baby NATURALLY".THIS IS WHEN THEY SEE A SAC BUT NO HEART BEAT.COUPLE DAYS LATER I WAS BLEEDING AND CRAMPING SO I WENT IN THINKING I WAS MISCARRYING.WE DID A ULTRA SOUND AND THERE MY BABY WAS.ALIVE AS CAN BE HEART BEATING AWAY.DOCTORS CAN BE OFF BY TWO WEEKS SOME TIME AND DOCTORS TO ME ARNT ALWAYS THE SMARTEST PEOPLE.IM LEARNING THAT DOCTORS GUESS MORE THEN WHAT THEY KNOW.GO BY YOUR INSTINCT AND PRAY AND HOPE FOR THE BEST.IM SURE EVREY THING IS FINE.SOME BABYS GROW FASTER THEN OTHER AND DEVLOPE TO.SO JUST LIKE ME YOUR BABY IS PROBALLY DEVELOPING A LITTLE SLOWER AND LOOK AT IS AS GOD TAKING HIS TIME WITH YOUR BABY.YOU SHOULD FEEL SPEACIAL.HAVE YOUR DR CHECK YOUR HCG COUNT AND THEN AGAIN THREE DAYS LATER TO SEE IF YOUR LEVEL DOUBL IF THEY DO YOU HAVE NO WORRIES IF THEY DONT THEN REDUE THE STEPS AGAIN.IF THEY GO UP ALITTLE BUT DOSENT DOUBLE THEN WORRY.AS LONG AS YOUR #S DOUBLE YOUR PREGNANCY IS GOING GOOD SO FAR.THAT DOESNT MEAN YOU CANT MISCARRY BUT IT MEANS IF YOUR WORRY JUST BED REST ON YOUR OWN AND TAKE IT EASY UNTILL 20 WEEKS.THAT IS IF YOU WANT THIS BABY.DONT WAIT FOR A DR TO BED REST YOU DO IT CAUSE ITS BETTER SAFER THEN SORRY......GOOD LUCK

Always ask doctors exactly what do they mean, so you won't go home worrying about it. But I also had the doctor tell me once that I wasn't as far as I thought, & it was nothing I just got the date of my last period messed up.

How do you see unborn babies in the uterus?

No. However, when the eyes of the fetus are developed and finally can open and close, they can see light. The fetus may even shield its eyes with its hands if you were to shine a bright flashlight directly into the mother's tummy! The fetus can also hear some things outside the belly once the ears have developed.

When does the fetus start to grow after the egg has been fertilized?

The very moment of fertilization, the egg has chemical changes which prevent other sperm from entering. Then over the next several days the first formations begin, cell by cell. At 6-8 weeks after last period, the baby has primitive organs and all of the basic foundational structures that will become facial features, toes, feet, head, arms, etc.

You are 6 weeks 5 days pregnant Ultrasound showed a sac but no heartbeat your hcg level are rising but not doubling quiet well you are very worried any similar stories you are going for an ultrasound?

It could mean that 1. they either didn't find the heartbeat or 2. You could be having a misscarriage. Sometimes it's very difficult to find a heartbeat when the baby is so small. Depending on the position of the baby as well. just because your levels aren't exactly doubling doesn't indicate a problem it could just mean that your body is responding differently then the other womans also as long as your levels are significantly rising say example 10,000 to 17,000 in 4 or 5 days then your fine some womens levels are just different hope everything works out for you and it is very rare that they can find a heartbeat at 6 weeks the heart is just about fully developed and may not have even begun beating it really depends on a lot so don't be so worried just yet your doctor will see whats going on stressing about things only makes them seem worse then what they are Good Luck and God Bless!!!

You are 8 weeks pregnant you went in for an ultrasound and the fetus measured 5 weeks 6 days?

Ultrasound scanning is dependant on many different variables, it depends on the machine being used, whether it was abdominal or a vaginal scan and of course on who preformed the scan.

In the majority of cases the earlier the scan the more accurate. Was a fetal heart pulsation visible?

The gestation of the fetus can vary depending on your history, do you have a regular menstrual cycle, ie. between 28 and 30 days from the first day of one cycle to the first day of the next, if outside of this then your dates will vary as Naegels rule of pregnancy doesn't apply because you ovulate 14 days before your period starts. Were your last three periods of normal length for you? Were you on the Oral contraceptive/any other contraceptive or pregnant/ breast feeding or have any other event or medication that could have altered your body's hormonal response three months before you conceived?

If any of the above then using the 1st day of your last menstrual period won't be accurate.

Now unfortunately there are other reasons also, but the above has to be ascertained first.

What is the sac around the baby?

It is the amniotic fluid that protects the baby, when the mother goes into labour its the sac that breaks( with the amniotic fluid inside ).

What produces the amnion yolk sac and allantois?

What stage of pregnancy does the embryo split if there is twins?

In the case of non-identical twins, the two embryos are from completely different eggs and are quite independent of each other and so there is no splitting into two embryos. These are the most common type of twins.

With identical twins, it is the zygote that divides into two embryos, so you wouldn't say that the embryo divides. This usually occurs between 3-8 days after fertilization and the embryos will have one placenta and two amniotic sacs.

Sometimes it will occur before this time and each will have a placenta and a sac. Less frequently, the zygote will split up until 13 days post-conception with the embryos sharing a single sac and placenta. Complications are more likely in this case. Rarely, the split will occur after this, resulting in conjoined, or Siamese, twins.

Will norflox 400 mg tablet used for 5 days by a pregnant woman for urinal infection during her third week of pregnancy harm the child?

Most medicines, in some way, can affect the development of a baby in the womb. The effect on the baby differs between medicines and also depends on the stage of pregnancy that you have reached when you take the medicine.

In the case of Norfloxacin:

  • the use of this medicine during pregnancy is not recommended

You should discuss your personal circumstances with your doctor if you are pregnant or want to become pregnant. This is so that together you can make a decision about what treatment you may need during your pregnancy.

You should discuss whether there are any other medicines which you could take during pregnancy which would treat your condition.
