Is it possible that a fetus in utero can gain two and one half pounds in one week during your 38th week?

Every person is different... However, I had the same thing happen to me. Tracking the dates of my cycle I thought that I was 8 weeks along when I made my first ob appt. When they did my ultrasound there wasn't a baby yet, the dr said I was about 4-5 weeks along. He said that I must have ovulated a lot later in my cycle than normal this time. Which he said doesn't normally happen. I am now 27 weeks along with ahealthy little girl. So don't give up hope yet. Good Luck now and in the future.

If your worried relax, this will not have serious side effects on the baby. Occasional drinking during pregnancy, though i personally do not condone it, is recommended by some scientists. However they recommend wine not Tequila, but as long as your not going to make this a daily habit there is not much need for worry.

Drinking during pregnancy is more dangerous during the first trimester because this is when the embryo is forming all of the body systems. As for whether 3 shots would be damaging, it depends how quickly you consumed them---for example, taking all three together is more damaging than taking one each hour for three hours. In any event, the good news is that this early in your pregnancy, if the embryo is damaged it is more likely to result in miscarriage than a handicapped child (natures safegaurd, since we don't know we are pregnant that early).

First it's a embryo until the 10th week, after that it's a fully formed but small fetus.

The membrane is called the Amniotic Sac, and the fluid is the Amniotic Fluid

The fetus is attached through the umbilical cord to the placenta, the site of exchange of nutrients and minerals between the mother and fetus. The placenta allows oxygen to diffuse from the mother's blood to the baby's blood and carbon dioxide and other wastes to go from the baby's blood to the mother's.

When i was 5 weeks they did a ultrasound after having a positive home pregnancy test and positive blood test. They said according to the size of sac i was only 3 weeks and they didnt see a embrio. Maybe a false pregnancy or the fetus stopped growing i went a week later to another doctor and they detected a embrio and the sac had grown in one week i will be four months so just give it a little time and maybe see another doctor. Yes, that is absolutely fine. In the last few months of pregnancy, some women find it hard to bend down and tie their shoe laces. Maybe that is where you have got this idea from

As you can see on that page, there is a huuuuge range for normal HcG levels at any given week. 59 is well within range for 4 weeks. Congrats and good luck!
